Our New LifeJune 28th 2008 7:30 pm[ Leave A Comment ] We just got a RV and we plan to travel. Our first stop will be to go to Barberville, just outside of Ormand Beach, Florida. Wow, that will be nice, I love the the Atlantic Beaches! We will be living on 5 acres of property and be the caretakers of the property for a few weeks at least. They have a tractor to take care of the mowing, so I figure there will be plenty of time for fun!! I will keep a Diary of my travels and adventures for all to read. Mom is not sure weather she will use Dogster or my blogger site for the diary entries. We will let you know. I am trying to convince her that I should have my very own website, sure hope I can talk her into it!!

The are doggy visitors, kitty visitors and a visit from favorite singer, "The King", Elvis Presley. He must have saw the place where I signed his WALL at Graceland. (See my Graceland/Memphis Slide Show ) I look forward to each morning when Mom and I look to see new visitors, so keep leaving you paw prints!! If you have a Guest Book, please let me know so I can come by and sign.
Please Leave Your PawprintAugust 15th 2007 7:49 am[ Leave A Comment ] Hey, I know that these Guest Books are nothing new to a lot of you, but to me, it's new and a fun way to see who stops by my page. I am trying to get as many dogs as possible to sign it. I can see where you all live and by the way if you sign, I always visit your page to see if you have any kind of guest book to be signed. It's hard to find all of the guest books just ramdomly!! You can also blog me on The Dog Channel, my member ID # is 31579. If you have not visited The Dog Channel, stop by my page and see what's going on at "the DC". Don't forget to leave me a note if you stop by "the DC". Well, must go now, Mom said something about a bath and I need to get under the bed quick. I don't really mind the bath, but I hate to get any water on my face and Mom said it's not a bath if we don't wash the face!!
The Southern States Tour is Over!!!August 4th 2007 10:57 am[ Leave A Comment ] After we left Roanoke, Virginia we traveled west to Tennessee. We arrived in Knoxville, Tennessee at about 4PM and checked in to the hotel for the night. "The Dogs" thought this meant that we could get room service or maybe a pizza and settle in for the night, but no...as it turned out we would be going out again to see a friend of the family who had recently moved to the area. Well again, "The Dogs" would be left out. Mom, Dad and Ferdy went out to eat and "The Dogs" had to stay in the crate in the car. They did bring us food they had left over from the dinner but it is not the same as eating out. Anyway the rest of the stay in Knoxville was great we got to take walks and sleep in the king size bed!! We left Knoxville for Memphis the next day, we passed thru the Nashville, but we did not stop, this was not right, since they know that "The Dogs" are big country music fans. We might have even seen a "star" like Mom and Dad did the last time they were there. I still can't believe they saw Alan Jackson in a restaurant where they were eating. Oh well, no "stars" this time around. We arrived in Memphis at about 2PM on Thursday and went to the home of a friend where we would be spending the next week. The house was empty since Mom's friend was out of town on a job. "The dogs" had the complete run of the house and the 2 1/2 acre yard!! Big place, room to roam and a pool, what more could "The Dogs" ask for!!! We spent the next week seeing old friends, touring Memphis and swimming in the pool. In Memphis, we saw Elvis Presley's Graceland, AutoZone Park where the Redbirds play baseball, The Mississippi River from both Tom Lee Park and Harbor Town, The Pyramid, The Peabody Hotel, Peabody Place, The National Civil Right Museum and the Lorraine Hotel, The FedEx Forum where the Grizzlies and the Tigers play basketball, The Orpheum Theatre, Beale Street and the rest of downtown Memphis. We saw trolleys, horse drawn carriages and of course the "Ducks" vehicles that can drive on the roads or can go in the water. Memphis uses the "Duck" to give tours of downtown, but we never saw them in the water at any time!! We were having such a good time that no one wanted to leave but on Wednesday early, we pulled out and headed for Pickwick to stop for a few minutes and see some more friends, just stay for a couple of hours, then on to Atlanta (gosh it is sure pretty in Atalnta at night with all the skyscrapers decorated with the beautiful lights) but we just flew through at high speed on I-75 so that's all we got to see. So as we headed for Florida and home we were all glad that the drive was almost over and we could sleep in our own bed that night!! Dad figured that I had done enough "riding" for a few days, but the next time he went to the car there I was blocking the way and begging to go. I am "riding" kind of guy. Mom will be posting more pictures of the trip soon, she has been pretty busy since we got home on Thursday morning.
And the Vacation Continues...July 24th 2007 9:52 am[ Leave A Comment ] After the drive through Georgia and the Carolinas, we arrived in Roanoke Virginia. For a couple of days, "the dogs" got to go everywhere with Mom and Dad, then came Saturday, the wedding, big party, lots of fun, for humans only!!! No dogs allowed they told me and Coopie. I guess they don't think "the dogs" know how to party and have fun. Well, they are just plain wrong, and we don't think it was fair that we missed all of the fun and don't forget the great food that we missed. They made it up to us on Sunday, well made it mostly up, there were still a few places they didn't let us go to, but we did get to go up in the mountains and run around. There is a log cabin up in the mountains that we always visit when we come to Virginia. Very fun, lots of room to run and a big fish pond, too. At the cabin there are deer and rabbits to chase (not as much fun to play with as Kitty Boy) but a little something to do. As usual, Coopie got in trouble for not coming back when called, I just don't know what her problem is!! We went to a couple of parks on the Blue Ridge Parkway, then we came back home to sleep, we sure were tired. Monday we had a lot of visitors at the house so we didn't go any place. Today it is raining, but Dad said in a little while we will go to Mill Mountain and look out over the city of Roanoke. There is a Big Star that they light up every night on Mill Mountain you can see it from anywhere in the city, there is also a Zoo up on the mountain, but no dogs allowed. Just when I was thinking how much easier it was be to chase the animals if the are fenced in. Mom said they have big animals at the Zoo that can eat small dogs such as myself and Coopie. Just as well that they do not allow dogs!!! Wednesday morning we are leaving for Tennessee, that's Coopie's old stomping ground and she has promised to show me around. More adventures to come... Oh by the way Mom's having a little trouble posting pictures on my Website, hopefully in Memphis, we can use a different computer to get them posted!!!
My Summer VacationJuly 17th 2007 10:21 am[ Leave A Comment ] I will be leaving to go on vacation, on July 18th, we will be touring the South. Leaving from our home in Spring Hill, Florida, through Georgia and the Carloinas to Roanoke Virginia where will visit with Dad's family, attend a wedding and a memorial service for Dad's mom. Then it's on to Tennessee, Knoxville, Crossville, Nashville and on to Memphis where we will visit with friends for a few days and maybe do a little boating (you know that's one of my favorite things to do) on Pickwick Lake. I have never been boating on a lake, but mom says I will like it, different from the Gulf, no salt, she says I can even drink from this lake. I am looking forward to it. My sister Coopie was born in Memphis and she wants to get back to see what's new there. The last leg of our trip will take us through Mississippi and Alabama and back through the Florida panhandle. I will be posting pics (taken with my borrowed camera, if you didn't hear about my camera see one my earlier diary entries) for all to see. To see more of my pics and find out what I am doing on my summer vacation visit my Blog on Blogger at www.buddysays.blogspot.com. Most of the pictures will be posted there since there is no limit. All of this will come to past if the borrowed camera works properly, if not then I will just be posting without my pics. Not as much fun but still I will be able to document where my travels have taken me. Coopie and I will be having a tail wagging good time. Kitty Boy will staying home as he does not like to travel. The neighbors will be taking care of him.
MugsyJuly 12th 2007 9:10 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I met a friend here on Dogster that I want everyone to meet. Mugsy is a pound dog with the sweetest little face I have ever seen. Take a look, the Dogster ID is 580334. This dog is what cute is all about!
Leave a Bone for...July 12th 2007 6:00 am[ Leave A Comment ] Mom and I were taking a little dog stroll yesterday and I notice that some of the dogs in the stroll did not have any "Bones". I think when you first put your page up, you should give yourself a "Bone", just one to get the ball rolling. Remember every dog deserves a "Bone". And when you take a stroll, give out "Bones", it doesn't cost anything and just might make some dogs day!
