The field of Infinite Dreams

I stare into the dark, cloudy sky,
With my beautiful, deep hazel eyes
All that I can see in the clouds now made
Look into the sky and watch them fade
The dreams I had did all come true
The love, the walks, the things to chew
And then the care went speeding by
With me in it
My owners cry:
“It’s hard for us to leave you, we don’t want you to go,
But there’s nothing else to do now, we’ve failed you, yes we know.
“It’s hard to forget last winter,
When you cuddled up to us in bed
You looked so sweet and angelic,
As you rested your head.
“But when you growled at our baby,
Even though she did pull your tail,
We thought that really maybe,
In your training we did fail.
“And now it’s time to say goodbye,
Into the fields you go,
The field of infinite dreams,
That you used to know…”

(Thank dog this isn't my story but my mummy really wanted to share a poem she made up with the others)
