Looks like Kitai's compiled list of abbreviations has gained recognition and has made it onto the Dogster front page. All those dogs are so good for helping to compile such a useful list.

I'm a diary pic!

Okay so I remember that day about a year ago so vividly...I looked at my computer screen and saw on the dogster home page that I was dairy of the day. I stuck my paw to my mouth and pinched myself but I wasn't dreaming. While my mummy made me my tasty dinner in the kitchen, I stayed glued to the computer swivel chair, almost crying tears of joy. Okay, so I might be exaggerating just the teensy little bit but it was an honour. Okay, so that day hasn't come again but I was a diary PIC of the day on the first of April (how swell or, as us pups say, how smell!).

Bang, crash, wallop!

Poor me! Poor me! Poor me! Sorry, I'm just feeling sorry for myself. I was outside in the garden, playing with Ruby when I ran into a chair that had a big nail sticking out of it (my stupid owners!) and then it ripped through my skin (not just one but at least three layers!) and there was blood and then the next day it got a bit (okay, squemish pups, back away now...................................)
pussy and gooey and then I had to go to the vet and get three stitches...boo hoo! I'm in ship shape now though as I'm hopping around like my usual just-had-a-few-cups-of-coffee self.

Hi all!

I'm so sorry! This past year has been full of ups and downs and spin-arounds and all sorts which meant that I was unable to chat to all my pup pals, post photos or topics or anything cos I was so busy...I haven't been on Dogster for a year so I'm sorry if you didn't get any replies to all the pawmail that you've been sending me. I'm very sorry. Just wanted to say Happy Paddy's Day even though it's a bit late. Me and Ruby had a great day running through the park. Also just wanted to wish all my pup pals a great Easter...I mean, I hope they're having a great Easter. I'm sorry, I've lost all sense of time and when I got that email for Dogster, saying 'We Miss You', I just felt this gut feeling that I had let a lot of pups down by not replying to their messages and to their pup pal requests...again, I'm really really sorry. But I'm back and I see that Dogster is looking even better than before. Hope everyone's okay on here...

A Greyhound's Life

Since I'm part Greyhound, I thought I'd share this poem with others.

It wasn't all that long ago
I ran the dusty track for show, devoted and driven my face pierced the wind as race after race I fought to contend.
Slow at the turn and lacking in grace I did what I could but I never placed.
I loved to run hard and hear the crowd roar yet those cheers turned to boos when I didn't score.
Folks lost their money when they bet on me they tagged me a loser, said "Retire number three!".
I had no idea what I was likely to find as I walked from the track for the very last time.
My person was waiting, with face so long I sensed inside the sadness that this time I'd not go home.
I tried to change my person's mind and wagged my mighty tail but I knew deep down without a doubt, like racing I had failed.
We drove along the country roads till we came upon a town where erected off the main street was a place known as the pound.
A pretty woman came outside and took me from my crate my person signed the papers and with one look at my face said "I'll leave you here to sleep.
I felt my heart break into bits and walked with head bent low
I knew that it was over and I had no place to go.
Inside the dingy building I was checked and tagged and weighed, a voice said, "We will put him down, tomorrow if not today."
I heard the pretty woman state, "Don't look him in the eye, he has that Greyhound gaze that says, "I do not want to die."
They put me in a kennel with the others on death row, I lay down on the concrete and moaned so soft and low.
Morning filtered through the glass, I stretched my weary bones the pretty woman came to me and said, "It's time to go."
The hall was long and stark and cold, I did not cry or weep I used my eyes and face and soul to halt eternal sleep.
She tried her best to use defense and look away from me, she seemed to know how wrong it was to do this deadly deed.
She bent down close and held my face against her silken cheek, the needle entered my front leg and quickly I felt weak.
I heard the pretty woman sob as she lay me on the floor, I saw a last glimpse of her face and then I saw no more.
I may not have been the fastest dog to ever run the track, I just wish someone had loved me so I could have loved them back.

Howloween!

It was Halloween last night and I dressed up as a ballerina with my sister, Ruby. Oh and I got tagged by Callie but I am not online as much so I can't really go around tagging dogs at the moment. Sorry, guys, I gotta rush!

Bit of a bully!

I'm a bully and no, not a mean doggy who picks on other pups...I'm crossed with some bull type dog! It's official! I've got the bulge on my tail and everything (a sure sign that I am a bull type dog). Wow, I've find my inner soul...BOL! But I'm not a bully, I'm so kind and loving and my pawrents love me so much, I wouldn't hurt a fly because I am as gentle as a lamb.

Limo, limo outside our house...how lucky can one get?

Me and my sister were one step away from riding in a limosine! The only thing was that it was private, rented out for somebody's debs. I couldn't believe it, it was so big, it had a bar and TV screens and everything! There was even a mini disco! The window was open so everybody could get a good look in, people were even getting their photos taken and best of all, it was parked outside our house! Oh, I was so close to sniffing the wheel, if only I could have gotten a little closer...oh well! Maybe I might have a doggy debs?

Fashion tips for the style conscious

Here's me and my sister's guide for the style conscious pet:

For dogs with black fur = choose reds. They contrast really well. Go with red nailpolish and a red bandana on a big black dog (works for small too though).

For dogs with white fur = choose pinks and whites. Pink and white go so well together on white dogs, it's hard to imagine bichons and malteses anything else!

For dogs with tan fur = choose yellows, greens and reds. Bright, vibrant colours look really well on tan dogs (we should know!)

For young dogs = choose spots and stripes, cool funky colours and patterns.

For old dogs = choose baby blues and light pink. They look furbulous!
