A Poem About Me!

So, mommy wrote a poem about me, and of course, she read it to me. Well, I just loved it so much, that I just had to share it!
Here goes...

My Dog, Raven...

Accepts me for who I am
Believes that I will always be there for her
Comes to me when I call her name
Does not hold any grudges against me
Expects me to provide and care for her
Follows me around the house
Gives unconditional love
Helps keep me on my toes
Irritates the outside cats
Jumps up whenever she sees me
Knows when someone is at the door
Loves to beg for treats
Makes me happy when I am sad
Never bites
Obeys my every command
Plays games with me (such as fetch)
Quiets a crying child with her pink, wet tongue
Runs to greet me each and every day
Sits patiently and waits for her treats
Trusts me with all her heart
Understands the mood that I am in
Visits other family members often
Watches over me at night
X-amines each piece of food in her bowl and eats it one by one
Yelps when she is upset
Zeros in with her eyes on every move that I make

So, in short, I am mommy's little girl, and I am her best friend!

Very Happy with Dogster these days

So it took me and mommy a few weeks to figure out how to navigate the new dogster site. But we are getting better at it, and it does seem to be easier to use now.

I would like to add a personal thank you to all of you who sent me rosettes and stars when I was DOTD a couple weeks ago. I never dreamed that I would be chosen and to wake up and see my picture (with my family) was pawsome!

And then today I wake up, and a real good doggie buddy of mine, Lord Pippin is the DOTD! Lord Pippin lives in St. Augustine which is about an hour away from Jacksonville which is where I live! So congrats to Lord Pippin!

I think it is wonderful to see some cities in Florida get recognition through DOTD. I know I saw a pup from Orlando that was in the spotlight recently, and Orlando is in FL! Florida is such a wonderful state to live in! Although we might have hot temps in the summer, the winter makes up for it- when I hear all these stories about snowstorms and blizzards and driveways having to be shovled, I can lay down in the sunny yard (a yard with no snow), look around at all the trees that don't lose any leaves, sniff the flowers which still bloom in the winter and relax. I love that Florida sunshine!

Keep up the good work Dogster! This is one dog who loves you!

Adopt 09 Contest- A Forever Home

Being a dog that was rescued, I thought about what my life has been like since I have lived with my new family, and what is the best part about living with them.

To me, the best part is finally having A Forever Home! Instead of submitting an essay, I desided to create a poem that reflects on my feelings of finding my forever home:



A Forever Home

A brand new Start

Family that loves you
Owners who talk about you and show your picture off to everyone
Riding in a car and lots of new places to explore
Eating lots and lots of delicious food
Very good chew toys and plenty of balls to chase
Evening snuggling under the blankets next to your mom
Really delicious dog treats from PetSmart and Petco

Having a shelter to protect you from the snow and rain
Owners who give you lots of hugs and kisses
My very own bed fixed just the way I like it
Every day, knowing there is someone special to share your life with

Our Thankful Letter

Hi guys! Well, it's almost Christmas time again! As I looked back over this year, I realized how thankful I am to have such a wonderful home, and such wonderful pawrents. Then, I realized that all of my doggie and kitty friends probably have a lot to be thankful for too! So I had everyone p-mail me and tell me what they are thankful for. The responses I got were amazing and wonderful! I have put everyone's response into a thankful letter, so enjoy reading the letter, and Thank you to all of my pals who helped contribute to this letter.

I am truly thankful to have such wonderful friends on Dogster and Catster to chat with. I am thankful to have such loving pawrents, wonderful fur siblings, and plenty of food and water. I am thankful for the Florida Gators who won the SEC championship this year- Raven.
I am thankful for all my Dogster friends and their prayers and support and Power of the Paw- Bobby .
I am thankful for having such wonderful caring pals at Dogster. I am thankful for 14+ years of life with my loving mama and daddy and everyone in the family that I have been able to show them that same love. I am thankful for living in a great neighborhood where the neighbors look for me and give me treats- Checkers .
I am thankful that IMPS rescued me. I am thankful to have found such a wonderful home with pawrents who love me very much. I am thankful for lots of food and treats- Cappone .
I am thankful for a warm happy home with lots of food and treats and kitty siblings- Zoe .
I am thankful for the friends I have made here in MPMM. I am thankful for all the support and love we all share- Coco .
I am thankful for all my MPMM friends and for my little brother Buster- Sugar .
I am thankful to have such a helpful big sister in Sugar. I am thankful to have such nice friends at MPMM- Buster .
I am thankful for finding a loving mommy and daddy. I am thankful for making furends on Dogster. I am thankful for my brother. I am thankful for a warm bed and good food to eat- Gigi .
I am thankful for even when I do bad things... which is often, my pawrents still love me. I am thankful for what all is happening in the world today and sad news it is... I have my family and we love each other very much. I am thankful for Moo tubes- Rocky .
I am thankful for... my family... my mom buying me shirts cuz I get cold and she has good taste. I am thankful for our mommies friend husband is safe and is home from the war. I am thankful for my bling bling thingys that mom buys her little girl. I am thankful for all our friends and their pawrents on Dogster- Mabelline .
I am thankful for my mom, dad, kitty siblings, and a warm bed to sleep in. I am thankful for all of the walks that I get to go on. I am thankful for being able to go on vacations with my pawrents- Missy .
I am thankful for my foster mom and my foster fur siblings. I am thankful I have finally found my forever home. I am thankful for my new doggie stroller and my new tuxedo- Frosty .
We are thankful for all the love and encouraging words from our mommy and daddy. We are thankful for a warm home and plenty of food and water. We are thankful for the treat we get each day and how sometimes daddy doesn't know mommy gave us 1 and we get 2 a day- Jack and Ginger .
I am thankful for my loving mommie who would do anything for me- Ravan NPC .
I am thankful for being rescued and having such a loving home- Sunny Sunshine .
I am thankful I didn't have to live out my life on the farm fighting for every bite of food and trying to find a warm bed when it is cold- Sweetheart .
I am thankful for finding my new family and home where I am loved and well taken care of- Dingles .
I am thankful for our new house where I can go out and play whenever I want- Blackie .
I am thankful for all the fun times I have with my fursibs and mommy and daddy- Cashew .
I am thankful for my people and that they can spoil me as much as they're able to- Bitu .

I am thankful for a mommy who spoils me and my fursibs, and that I get to sleep under the covers, and that I have a yard to romp around in, and I have some squirrels that live in my big tree that I can chase, and the yummy food I get, and of course the treats. I am thankful that I found Dogster and MPMM and all of the pups I have met here- Nicci .
We are thankful for having all and more then we need. We are thankful for being needed and loved and able to love... when others threw them away to die- Flicka and Lucas .
I am thankful for a forever home and I am thankful for gators too. They taste gooooood- Molly Woggins .
I am thankful for a mama and daddy that put me first and love me more than anything in the world- Valentino .
I am thankful for my family and we are all healthy and happy. I am thankful for all of my pals on Dogster, for they are they ones that make my life complete. I am definitely thankful for the Florida Gators... they are my favorite team- Oscar .
I am so thankful for furends who stand by you when others toss you out in the cold and kick you when your down. Furends who believe in you and don't believe lies and gossip- St Nickolas SD .
I am thankful that I have a warm bed with momma and I can cuddle and be cuddled. I am never hungry or thirsty. I am welcomed in other people's homes and get to go places and be a part of things. Momma sees intelligence, grace, beauty, and humor in my soft brown eyes. I am thankful for my friends that we have on Dogster- friends who understand. I am thankful that I can protect Momma and make her feel secure. I am thankful that I received a special gift just last week... a tag that says "I rescued a human." It shows that I have value and purpose. It shows that I know what love means- Abby .

As you can see, we all have a lot to be thankful for. And I think the creator of Dogster and Catster deserve a big THANK YOU because if it was not for these websites, none of us would know each other.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Daddy,

I know Father's Day comes only once a year, but I want to let you know that I love you every day of the year! You are the best daddy that any little doggie couls ask for! You play with me, you let me snuggle with you, and best of all, you let me ride on your lap when you are driving! Words cannot express how much you mean to me. If it was not for you taking me when you did, I might not be here to write this to you.
