The tale of the missing curtain...

When mommy went to a veterinary convention over the weekend, Daddy let all of the furry kids sleep in bed with him. When mommy came home she made everyone get out of her bedroom so she could get a good nights sleep. Every night for a week I would scratch at the bedroom door, and mommy would eventually get tired of me waking her up, and she would open the door and let me in bed with her and daddy.
But last Friday night she wouln't let me in the bedroom, even when I scratched at the door. I got so upset that I chewed of a piece of her sheer curtain in the living room. It was a rather large piece... about 3 feet wide and 2 feet long. Mommy couldn't believe that when she woke up part of her curtian was missing! Her and daddy searched all over the house for the missing piece, but came up empty handed. They had no idea that the very large piece was hiding in my stomach!
I vomited once on Saturday, and then mommy wouldn't feed me anything! Then on Sunday mommy had to pull a piece of curtain out of my behind because it was stuck! Mommy took me to work with her the very next morning and she took x-rays of my insides all day long! I had to drink some really tasty white liquid, and then mommy took an x-ray every hour. I was getting the royal attention from her, but she still wouldn't feed me!
By Tuesday morning I was starving! I tried so hard to eat Lazarus and Pixie's food that mommy locked me in the bedroom while they ate! The next thing I know I am waking up on the surgery table with a huge incision on my belly! I have a huge wrap around my belly and one on my leg. I have a patch stapled to my side and everytime I move I ache all over!
I didn't sleep much last night. I woke mom up whining in pain. Mommy kept poking me with needles, and I would get a little relief for a while, but I just couldn't get comfortable! Mommy slept by my side all night, right on the floor with me on my pet bed. I had hundreds of blankets and pillows to cuddle on, but I was in so much pain I just kept tossing and turning.
I'm not sure what happened. Mommy keeps telling me I was a bad boy for eating the curtian. I heard her tell my daddy that no one could believe how much curtain was stuck in my stomach. Maybe this will teach mommy not to lock me out of her bedroom at night!

You can see the picture of the curtain they pulled out of my stomach, and also a couple pictures of me in my bandage and mommy laying next to me.
