My sweet furiend Mady Tagged me! Here is what I need to do.

I have to answer the questions below and tag 6 furiends to play next.

What is your favorite color for Easter eggs?

Hmm.... I think pastel pink!

Would you rather be a bunny or a chick?

I'm a chicky baby! BOL

How many Easter eggs do you think you'll find when you get to hunt them at your house?

Well, none. I don't need to search for things, they are brought right to me. Did I mention I was the queen?

What kind of Easter basket are you hoping for?

Anything with lots of goodies! I love treats but more importantly I love my family.

Off to tag 6 pals and let us never forget the significance of this blessed and holy time. We truly received the greatest gift of all through the suffering of our Lord.

I just logged on to my page today and saw that I have 5252 views. I don't know why, but that seemed pretty cool to me. After all, these are my memoirs. BOL!

Just to add something a little more entertaining, I will end with a quote (got this idea from my sister Tara).

Happiness consists more in small conveniences of pleasures that occur every day, than in great pieces of good fortune that happen but seldom to a man in the course of his life.

~Benjamin Franklin

I was tagged by Yuji, who told 7 things about himself , and tagged 7 friends, including ME, to continue the game-so here goes...

1. I am one of the luckiest Shih Tzus around. I went from homeless to loved and am so happy now.
2. I can be a little vocal when I really want something. I just want to be heard. BOL
3. I am still growing out my full coat. I am mostly done, but the hair on my face needs to be a bit longer. I'm going on two years of letting it grow out.
4. I love treats.
5. I am known for napping. I catch zzzzzzzz's every opportunity I get.
6. I was just DOTW. It was such a pawsome experience and I met lots of great new pals.
7. I'll be turning 7 this year. Time sure does fly when you are having fun.

Spring has Sprung!

WooHoo, warmer days are on the way! Today is the vernal equinox, so here is a little puppy information for you.

An equinox occurs twice a year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the Sun being vertically above a point on the Equator. The term equinox can also be used in a broader sense, meaning the date when such a passage happens. Vernal equinox is a direct derivative of Latin (ver = spring).

So there you have it, Spring has sprung in Dogsterland!

Happy Spring and SO many thanks for a wonderful week as Dogster's Dog of the Week. This has meant so much to me and really is a great honor. Thank you for checking out my page and sending so many congratulations and pressies. It warms my little Tzu heart (just like the warm days ahead now that Spring is here). Love to Tzu all

Pinch me! Is this a dream? I can't pawlieve I am DOTW. OMD, to have such a wonderful honor is truly a blessing. 4 years ago I was homeless and today I am loved, cherished, and now DOTW. Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined this is how my life would unfold. God blessed me with so much and I am humbled and blessed to receive it. Thank you for the wonderful pressies and congratulations. I'll start working on getting back to everypup tomorrow. My heart is overjoyed and with everything going on right now, this couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you Dogster, you really rock! A shout out to Echo for my pawsome badge, too. WooHoo, Dogster pals are the best!

I really am a rags to riches kind of gal! What a pawsome and wonderful honor to have been chosen as Diary of the Day! Thank you to everyone for all the pressies, paw mails, and furiend requests. To think of where I was a little over 4 years ago to today is like a dream come true! I have been blessed in so many ways. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough to say, but I really do thank you all for being an extended family. Also, a special shout out to Sassy who made my pawsome badge to help me remember this day always! Thank you all and thank you Dogster.

4th Gotcha Day today!!

I'm barking from the rooftops! 4 years ago today I traveled from Indiana to Minnesota where I met the entire family for the first time. I stayed in Indiana a couple weeks after being pulled from the shelter until I could make my way to my furever home. So here I am 4 years later with my family who loves me so much, and since I am the only girl I must admit I am given the princess treatment! Why not!? I think I deserve it.

Living the life of a loved and cherished family member is the best gift in life. I am so happy I was given a second chance to find the love I deserved.

PS- I heard I am getting shepherd's pie for dinner. It's one of my favorites!

Do these treats make my butt look big?

Wow, I've gotten a lot of treats from my furiends and boy are they delicious. Do you think they make my butt look big though? Spinning in circles trying to see if butt is getting bigger by the minute! BOL!

Thank you everyone for the pawsome treats and thank you Bit-O-Luv for the awesome freebie.

BTW- My Gotcha day is Friday! Woo Hoo, that always means something special for dinner. This will be 4 years. Time flies by, but I love knowing how much my family still loves me!

Transformation to a princess. My true love story

Wow, it was around this time four years ago that I was found by animal control. I was lost and scared and didn't know what my fate was. The kindly staff at the shelter really liked me and let me stay in the office with them most of the time. I heard them say I was already on hold for a family that was interested in me. I wasn't in great shape back then. My hair had been shaved (very poorly might I add) and my skin was super dry and flaky. I also had what appeared to be a clipper burn on my rear. This didn't matter to the folks who wanted me, so now I just had to wait until my time was up to see if my owners came back or if I was going to a new family. It was a long wait for the family that had me on hold, I heard they called all the time to see if I was still there. Finally the day came and I was up for adoption, I wasn't sure if this was good news or bad. The family that wanted me lived really far away so they sent someone to take me in so that I could get spayed and then they were coming to get me. So off to the vet I went but when they opened me up, they found out I had already been spayed but that the previous vet left part of the uterus that was now getting necrotic. It was a good thing I had this surgery because that would very likely have caused cancer later in life. So now the original spay was fixed and I was ready to go home to the family from MN. They came and got me and the lady said I was just beautiful (she's my mom now)! She loved my personality and my markings. She took me home and I went to see their vet. I was microchipped and treated for tapeworms. Yuck! Those things were gross! So I was now vaccinated, on a great diet, worm free, and ready for recovery. I was doing great and my coat was getting shiny and silky, but I still had the problem with my teeth so after a little time with the new family I had my bad teeth fixed and ended up losing many. :( Now, fast forward to present time and I am healthy, happy, and as mom says - just gorgeous! She let me grow out my hair and have a traditional Shih Tzu look. So, from a street urchin to a loved princess is my true love story for Valentine's Day. You can see the transformation in my pictures from when I first arrived to now. I really wish all strays could find loving homes to become a prince or princess in. Muah! Love and kisses to all those pups in need.
