Arrival Story:
Mia was an unclaimed stray from Animal Control. We put a hold on her sight unseen when we heard she was brought in. The staff gave us glowing reviews about her personality. It was agonizing waiting for the stray hold to expire, but when she was officially up for adoption we drove 500 miles each way to pick her up and bring her home. She is not only very sweet, but also very beautiful.

Mia was found wandering in the middle of winter. She was shaved down and had a clipper burn on her rear that was totally hairless. She was also underweight and full of tapeworms. I was so happy that she was never reclaimed. With time, love, and proper nutrition she has totally recovered. I feel as if she was sent to us. She brings us such joy. I hope everyone will consider a rescued dog or cat and please spay or neuter to reduce the number of unwanted animals each year.

Mia's Memoirs

Missing you every day

Mia, it was six months ago that you left us and not a moment goes by that I don't think of you. I wish with all my heart that you could have had another recovery but that was not to be. I'll never forget that moment when the ER vet called to say you were failing and we needed to come down immediately. The news was devastating and our hearts were broken. I loved you so much, Mia. You meant the world to me. I appreciate every moment we spent together and thank God for the time we had with you. Today and every day, I will love you.

A Bridge Called Love

It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.
And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories
from earth to Heaven above...
It keeps our dear ones near us

It's the bridge that we call love.

Finally back on Dogster/missed birthday :(

After a month and a half, we are finally back on Dogster. We cleared our cache and lost the saved password which forced us to need to file for a new password since all previous passwords were wiped out. Finally after multiple requests and customer support e-mails, they responded. The hardest part was missing Mia's birthday in August. It was her first away from us and I couldn't even log on to send her a gift. :( We're back now though and that is all that matters.

Missing my sweet Mia today and always. Sorry I missed your birthday.

Love you Mia,

PS - I was finally able to update your page sweet angel girl

The pawrents closed on the new house

I guess patience is a virtue, after 14 months since their first offer and 7 months under contract, the pawrents finally closed on their house.

They might not be on much for a little while until things settle. They still need to sell their current house and do the whole move thing which means a lot of painting and cleaning and sprucing things up.

Hopefully a fence will come soon so the pups can enjoy the new big yard. I have been watching over them, I know my tree can now be planted soon.
