Far too long!

Hey pups! OMD! I haven't given an update since May! And do you wanna know why? Well, of course, it's all mom's fault. Back in early June, she flitted off to a cruise to Bermuda with dad, nana, papa and my aunt and uncles while I got banished to the kennel! But that's not the kicker. The kicker is that three days before they left for Drinkfest At Sea 2012, mom found out she was PREGNANT!

That's right, I'm going to be a big brother to a little BROTHER!

Things have been OK around here, but things are changing. This little stinker isn't supposed to arrive until February and he's already rocking my world. Mom says things like "No more night time sleeps in the bed, Chip." and "You are going to have to learn to share Mommy, Chip" and "Start listening to daddy too, Chip.". But I don't listen. I'm just going to keep doing my thing, BOL!

Mom is getting stricter about certain things. I can't bark as much as I used to. I have things to say and I like to say them LOUD! But mom keeps saying "Shhhh, Chippy. You will wake the baby!". Humph.

Mom makes me eat my dinner in one certain spot now and I can only have chews in certain spots too. BORING!

Mom keeps hanging out in the office and won't allow me in there. She makes me wait at the door. She's been doing an awful lot in there lately. She says that will be the baby's room and I need to stay OUT. humph.

There's a lot more gates going up in doorways around here. Mom says I need to get used to being in one room while she's in the other. Who is going to protect her if I can't be right by her side?!? Oh, and FYI, *apparently* barking my fool head off at the gate does NOT make the gate open. BOOOOOO!

We are doing a whole lot of other stuff to get ready for the baby, but I won't bore you with the details.

As much as I think this baby is going to be a pain in my furry tush, I try to let mom know that I already love him. You see, whenever I can get on belly-level with mom, I put my head down and rest my head on her belly. I just stand there and sometimes I sigh. I know there's a baby in there and he's my brother. I'm going to love him and protect him with all I have. Because that's the kind of dog I am.

A human baby ! Wow ! A friend told me that they throw food on the floor. What do you think about that ? You will have to wait a little though, they don't do that before some time. BOL Congratulations to your pawrents and to you Chipper.

When in Feb.. 10th is my( me Mum !)Birthday.. and I was a month early !!

Think of it this way Chip-you's gonna be the big brother so you can boss him around! Also, human pups are messy eater & always drops stuffs so if you's plays you's cards right, you can get all kinds of yum-yums!

Congratulations! The little munchkins do leave a trail of food all over the place, but not for a while. If you become their pal, they can be trained to drop food from the highchair. Good Luck!
