Sleep and little explorations outside.

Paws wet from SNOW and being picked up the wrong way. :-(

Favorite Toy:
Poo-Poo doesn't seem to like toys.

Favorite Food:
Poo-Poo gets tired of kibble and prefers wet, stinky food!

Favorite Walk:
Down the sidewalk and then up a neighbor's driveway. Is she saying she wants to move?

Arrival Story:
!!! ADOPTED !!! I have a strange habit of going to the Pet Harbor website, sorting the local dogs by age, and looking at the oldest ones. This doggie, with no name, was listed as 15 years old (and she might be). I volunteer at a no-kill shelter and got approval to pull her from the county shelter that had her, with the understanding that I'd foster her until we knew for sure that she wouldn't bring kennel cough in, and her general health could be determined. Oh - and until she could get a good grooming! :-) We hoped she wouldn't actually go to the shelter, that someone would see her and adopt her before she got there. !!! ADOPTED !!! Sure enough, we found her a nice home and she never had to stay at the shelter!

Poo-Poo was very healthy for a bedraggled, emaciated senior stray. Nobody knew her real age because she was picked up after Denver's huge snow storm, just a couple of days before Christmas. The county shelter's paperwork listed her as "very old," and they put her on Pet Harbor as 15. My vet said she's "ancient" and somewhere between 12 and 15 - which is NOT ancient for a mini-poo! So phooey on them! ;-) She weighed barely 11 pounds and needed to put some meat on her bones; her fur was thin, and I hopeed it would look better with some good nutrition. (But it didn't really improve before she was !!! ADOPTED !!!) My doggies really wanted to play with Poo-Poo, but I isolated her at first because she came from a shelter with a sign saying that kennel cough is rampant there. No kennel bugs showed up. She was so cute that I thought she'd find a new home quickly. It took a little while, but she found a mama who was looking just for her!
