My Award!!

Woo-hoo Dogster pals!! I just found out I was awarded Pom Friend of the Week! My fursis Tessa (a Pom) was a member of Pomeranians of The World, and my fursis Mia (Maltese) and I got invited to join in a while back as honorary members! This is so exciting and such an Honor to be given this award! You see this shows what great ruving, caring groups are here on Dogster.com, if you do not yet belong you should find some to sign up with!
We all care so much about everyfur and always there for the good times and bad times! So I am giving High Five Paw out to Pomeranians of The World and all you other groups out there!! You sure know how to make a guy feel so special!!

Opening Day!!

Well Baseball Fans, it's that time of year once again! Woo-hoo! and we are gearing up for our Detroit Tigers Opening Day Mon March 31st!! Mom is getting the Old English D flag out to wave proudly!! and me and my sisters, Mia & Tessa will proudly wear out Tiger Bandanas!! Mom doesn't get to go to Opening Day this year so we will be watching from home. One of my human brothers is going and Mom is so jealous!
So great to see Americas favorite past time back, guess that means SPRING is finally here in Chilly Michigan!!

The big snip snip!

Well gotta say I guess it is not as bad as I thought it would be! I had been so worried to go under the knife! Mom took me this morning to be neutered....that wasn't bad enough before they took me in the back to my cage found out I still had a baby tooth up top that had to be extracted! Yikes, they got me at both ends.....
I am doing really good, I was hungry as could be when I got home. I wasn't woozy at all! So now Mom is worried I will be too rowdy and pull my stitches! Pretty embarrassing that Mom had to take me out to potty on a leash, so of course that means she was close by and watching me!! Geez can a guy get a break???

Happy New Year!

Wow-Wee! I really know now about Christmas, was so exciting! People came over for a party on the 15th and then Christmas Eve we had a nice dinner here with my human brothers and a friend of Mom's that didn't have any family close by to be with, and of course my Dad!! Then the next morning I could not believe my eyes! Our stockings were filled with wonderful toys and treats! Furgot to add that we were dressed up in out Christmas outfits that Mom got from the Booth Family, my sis's and I were the hit of the party on the 15th! We wore them again on Christmas Day.......Mom asked Dad to take pics of her & us, her in her holiday pj's and us in our outfits, but sad to say Dad only got blurry pics.
New Years Eve according to Mom is an exciting night usually too, but this year Dad was out of town and no one came over, so just us and Mom bringing in the New Year......but that is okay with me, just being with my Mom and sisters is good enough for me! Loving Mom, wunderful sisters, food, water, treats and a warm home, what else could a guy ask for!
Last night my sis's & I joined in at the Pawty Place, by invitation only I might add......we gathered to get all painted and ready for future gatherings! All sorts of furkids were there, my sis Tessa's Pom friends were there, cats and many other dogs......Lots of fur fun for sure! I can't wait for another night out with our friends!

My first Christmas!

I am getting so excited as this will be my first Christmas with my new family! Everything is changing around here, new stuff that light up outside and a tree with lights added to our living room! I hear some talk that on Christmas we get presents and stockings with goodies in them! Mom says she has to get a new stocking to put my name on it, so Santa will know where to put my goodies!!
Come January I will have been with my family for one year, and what a year it has been..... I have new parents, and I kiss my Mom many times a day, and lay as close to her as possible, as Mia gets her lap then Tessa next to me. Yepper I have sisters! Dad & I are the only guys around here unless my human twin brothers come over to visit! I really ruv that I have such a wonderful family that brought me to live with them, nothing more special than all of that could Santa bring me this year! well then again, maybe a brother??? Arf-arf!!

New friend!

I have a new friend and his name is Albert! Well Albert really came to see my sis Mia, but he and I got along grrrreat! So nice to have another guy around since I am surrounded by girls most all the time!! Dad being a truck driver isn't home too much to help me get even close to being able to even the score of girls vs guys! So it is always, ME, Mom, Tessa and Mia.........guess I am the man of the house when Dad is gone! Even all the cats around here are girls!
Albert and I are close to the same size so was lots of fun to run and wrestle with him, but he is fast as fast can be and can flip and turn on a dime. They said we looked like mini Polar bears when we were wrestling, both of us on our hind feet.
So looking foward to another play day with Albert!

My Vet trip!

Well yesterday was going pretty good until some hours passed after my trip to the vet! I had to go for my last puppy booster shots, and Mom decided to get us all the vaccine for Lepto (sp?) it is a long word and not sure how to say it. It is to prevent us from getting a disease that squirrels and other wildlife can have, and we have lots of squirrels here, plus raccoons! It can be fatal to some of us, and there have been alot more cases of it lately. When Mom came back from shopping later in the day, I could hardly move and I cried, (gotta be in big pain for us guys to whine!). She had to take me to an emergency vet, Mom doesn't mess around when it comes to us furbabies! She wanted to make sure I wasn't having a reaction to the vaccine.
We found out that it just must of been where the vet gave me the shot in the muscle that gave me the problem, so Mom agreed to give me something for the pain and to watch me over the next 24-48 hrs and all should be okay!
Mom put me in my bed when we got home from the Emergency Hospital, I was getting pretty woozy.
This morning I am doing sooooo much better, I even went outside on my own and went potty which I wouldn't even do last night, I just wanted to lay down and go to sleep! So after paying $75 just to be seen at the Emergency Service and $40 for the pain shot I am doing pretty good! Mom says it was worth every penny just to make sure I was okay! Boy, I am so happy that I have such a great new home with lots of love! Even Tessa missed me playing with her, she couldn't understand why I wouldn't play, not that I didn't want to, just couldn't!
What a Pawsome life I have now!

Met my Dad!!

Thought I'd let ya know how my meeting with my new Dad went!
My Dad is an owner/operator truck driver and had been gone across the U.S. since I had arrived here at my new home.
He got home last night, me and my sis's met him at the door! I followed their lead and jumped all over him, wagging my tail fast as fast could be! He thought I was so cute! He even picked me up and held me, so I gave him lots & lots of licks! Which he was very suprised about, since we had never met before that moment. Mom did get me brushed a little bit, she fed me little nibbles of training treats so that was a great incentive for me to hang in there a little longer than usual, MmmMmmm ruv those treats!
Dad then sat down and I brought him my tennis ball, so he did play with me a little too. I had figured what the heck pull out all the stops into making him see all the good things I do!! arf arf! I think it worked as I heard him talking to Mom later and mentioned to her about having 3 kids now!! Woo-hoo! So I guess I for sure get to stay. I know I still have alot to learn, especially to "come", "down" and "stay" whatever the heck those things mean, Mom keeps telling me those things over and over! I might be young but not stupid so I am sure I'll "get it" one of these days!
Mom showed Dad my page here on Dogster, he loved all the stuff Rascal's Pops had done for me. Rascal & Joker are so lucky to have a wonderful Pops, and now I have a Dad too, what more could a guy ask for!
Boy oh boy how lucky we all are to have family that ruv us!

My new friend!

I have the neatest new friend here on the Maltese Mommy's group, Rascal is his name and he has the greatest Pops! His Dad is the one doing all the super kewl stuff on his page and now has been helping me & my Mom with making my page kewl too!
So much has happened to me in a weeks time, new family, sisters, big human brothers, made friends with new people, I never knew that life could be so wonderful! Not that my other parents didn't love me, just had alot of wee kids to handle and couldn't spend that much time with me! I sure hope I can learn to be a good boy and learn manners and tricks so my new family will be as proud of me as they are of my sisters, Mia & Tessa
In the meantime, what more could a pooch like me ask for!!

I'm Here!

My friends & family call me Sonny!

I met my new Mom and sisters on Friday the 19th of Jan. I tried to act pretty good so they would like me, but I am only 9 months old so my energy level is pretty high. I kept chasing them, and had my nose in their rear end all the time, I thought that was the best way to get to know them! arf arf! Neither Mia nor Tessa are very fond of my introductions, but hope they will like me.
My new Mom thought I had potential and maybe would calm down with some new training and manners so she brought me home with her!
After arriving at my new home we all went outside to potty, and I chased Mia and Tessa all over the yard in the snow!! I was "marking" my spots all over the place, it was so cool! But not so cool when I came back in the house and "marked" a box & carpet in the living room! Boy oh boy! my new Mom was not happy about that, in a woosh I was back outside and told I was not a good boy. When I got let in, I was put in my crate for a "time out". Guess I had all ready forgot about the bad boy thing and the time out, as I did it again a day later! I haven't done it since so maybe it is finally sinking in my little brain. I want so much for my new family to like me, I bring my tennis ball to my Mom all the time so she will play with me, which she does!
