Road to recovery!!

Sunday June 27th I went into surgery to remove a foreign body found on ultrasound, a little bit of my intestine had burst to so the vet had to remove 3-4 centimeters and reattach it. What they found looked like a piece of a shoe, maybe the sole of flip flop, not real sure what it is I ingested but it was rubbery and fibers on it. I came through the surgery and I am slowly on the road to recovery.

Monday 6/28/10 I am still pretty drugged up with pain meds and my potassium and proteins are low, but I am starting to regulate my glucose on my own and that has been a problem since Thursday. The vet tech took me outside hoping I would potty but I just enjoyed sitting in the sunshine. I was offered food but refused it and my dogtor was not surprised, she is giving me something in my IV to help keep my protein up that you usually get from food.

I have not taken a step back and with all the prayers and support I am getting I can only keep moving forward, it may be slow but were getting there!! Thanks again to everyone who is praying for me and supporting my family while I am fighting to come home! We will keep you all updated the best we can through my ordeal...

With much love,
Tawni~the little trooper

Praise the Lord that you came through your surgery with flying colors. OMD! That thingy they removed was bigger than your Tummy Tawni! Keeping you in continued prayer for a full and speedy recovery.

Oh MY!!!

I am SOOOO glad that they found out what was wrong and fixed it!

I had an IV once when I was at the ER. It helped me a lot. I didn't want toeat or drink anything either, so it helped me.

Continuing to pray for you today!

Love,
Saphira
