On friday the 25th of June I woke up not feeling very well and when my dad got home from work he was very worried about me and the way I was acting, I was very lethargic and refused any water or food so my parents took me the ER right away.
The ER vet determined I had a very bad tummy ache and sent me home with a shot of anti nausea medicine and fluid under my skin on my back to keep my hydrated. In the morning I was worse, mom said I was a limp rag and once again I was rushed to the vet, when I got there they waisted no time and took me straight to the back! They did Xrays of my tummy and chest, found nothing in my tummy but my heart is kinda big for my size I weighed in at 2.9 pounds. My vet thought I was in heart failure.
They took blood and saw that my Glucose level was at 23 and normally it is supposed to be in the high 90's if not higher, and my potassium was really low, my heart rate was dangerously low as was my temprature. They gave me a IV cathater with sugar water and my glucose shot back up to 100!!
I am staying the day so they can monitor my fluids and do a ultra sound on my tummy to see what my issues are in there, they also found blood in my stool. I am a sick little girl but like with anything that has come along in my life I will overcome this to with all the prayers, family and friends I have!
