I Miss You Wilson

I miss you so much already Wilson. You were one of my very first friends here on Dogster and helped show me the ropes. It just won't be the same without you.

The Birthday Boy, the Birthday Boy!!!!!

Today was my birthday and I had a great day!!!! It started out with eating breakfast, then we all went for a ride to the BK so mom could get breakfast and she even shared a sausage biscuit with us!!!!! We took a long nap this afternoon and then I had supper and another car ride!!!! I got a new toy for my birthday along with a new collar and a new leash!!!!! And guess what the best presents of them all were???? Stars!!!! I got a star from Cletis and Wilson - my two buds, and a star from my sisters - Katie and Tallulah. I almost even had a mouse for dessert, except Katie wasn't able to catch it since mom started yelling at her to stop!!!!! What a great birthday!!!!!!

Guess what I found today?????!!!!!!!

You won't believe what I found in my backyard this evening!!!!! Mom was outside with us scooping up our doggy unmentionables when she saw me in the bushes near the house. She started fussy at me to get out of the bushes, your ball isn't in there, it's over here!!! (Mom was worried I was after a snake, since she had seen a black one in the front yard on Sunday!!!!!) So I was a good boy, like always, and got out of the bushes. That's when mom heard it!!!!!! This high pitched, teeny tiny little voice saying, meow, meow, meow!!!! I had found myself a kitten!!!! A real live, honest to goodness kitten!!!!!! It is so small. It's eyes aren't even completely opened yet. I told mom she needed to go to the pet supply store and get some kitten formula. So mom being the ever obedient and well trained mom went. The kitten could'nt use the bottle so then mom had to go to the drug store and buy a medicine dropper which worked. I'M A DAD!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!

Yeah!!!! It's Saturday!!!!

I just love Saturday's because I get to spend the whole day with my mom and we usually go to grandma's house in the evening and I really love her too!!!! I've been going to grandma's house since the first day mom brought me home. Mom is also going to make all of use some bandanas today!!!! It's been awhile since she's made any new ones. I can hardly wait. My vet says that I'm the best dressed man!!!!!!! It's all thanks to my mom!!!! Boy do I love her and love snuggling with her!!!!!

I love care rides!!!!!

Mom took us all for a car ride tonight!!!! Going for rides is my second favorite thing to do in the whole world. My most favorite thing to do is to play fetch. I like the car rides because there is always different smells and wonderful aromas. The cool breeze tickling your whiskers!!!!!

Sometimes you just have to say NO

Katie thinks she rules the roost around here. She always has to get in the van first, out of the van first, in and out of the door first. Ha!!! Little does she know that I allow her to do these things. Katie can be such a pushy lady. If there's no room on the couch or if someone is laying on the bed where she thinks she should be, she just sticks out that big paw and leg of hers and makes them move. Well, sometimes a man just has to be a man and not move. I tried this tonight along with Tallulah by both of us not moving when Katie was trying to get on the couch. Katie will look at mom with those puppy dog eyes just begging for help, but mom never says a word and lets us work it out. But, you know what Katie did tonight????? She sat on me!!!!!! The whole 60 or so pound female sat on me!!!!! But, I was good!!!!! I didn't move one inch and I made her move!!!!! Sometimes you just have to say NO!!!!!!

It was scary early this morning!!!!!

It was really scary this morning!!!! Mom woke up about 3:40 this morning because of the lightning. She turned on the radio and found out that there was a tornado warning for our county and that one was coming close to where we live. She got us all together and put leashes on us. We stayed in the hallway for about half an hour til she knew it was safe to leave it. There was alot of damage just northwest of us in the town where mom works!!!! It's really scary hearing all the lightning, wind, and rain. I try to act brave, but that's exactly what it is : an act!!!!!!

I love to play fetch

I just love to play fetch!!!! In fact I live to play fetch. The taste of the plastic ball with some grass and dirt mixed in is to die for!!! Plus, when it gets really slimy with my doggie slobber it becomes really good. My mom doesn't think so, because she'll always say, "Oh gross, doggie slobber." I don't know why she doesn't like it like me, after all it came from me and she's supposed to love me right? Oh well. As long as I can get her to play fetch with me by giving her that puppy dog look with a ball hanging out of mouth it's O.K. with me.

Boy, did I get in trouble!!

I was having a great week-end because my mom is having a four day week-end. She has been playing fetch with me which is my very most favorite thing to do. We've gone to the bank drive-thru which I totally love because the tellers give you a treat. Yum, yum!!!! We've even gone thru the drive-thru at Burger King a couple of time so mom could get breakfast and she always gets my sisters and I a sausage biscuit to share. But, I just really got into trouble!!! See, just because I'm a fixed male I still have this problem of hiking my leg at times on things in the house and mom just heard me tinkling on the kitty carrier in the living room that she leaves out for the kitties. I know I'm definitely in trouble whe she calls me by my full name of Clyde Hart Oliver. So what's a guy to do, but put his head and ears down and look all sad and scared. Hey, but it works!!!! This wasn't the first time that I've done it and it won't be my last. I just need to be more sneaky when doing it.
