Likes:
Charlotte loves to run around outside in the grass or go to the park/beach with Daddy and I. She loves the warm weather and to play with other dogs.

Pet-Peeves:
When we blow in her face she will stomp around haha! She also does not LOVE the bath- she won't throw a fit and will tolerate it but you can tell she is not happy and she shakes b/c she is nervous in the tub. But she is a good girl so she deals.

Favorite Toy:
Her favorite toy happens to be the very first toy she ever got. She came with a little pink blanket when we bought her (we call it the woobie). And she loves her woobie to play with or sleep with! She has other toys she likes but that's her fave!

Favorite Food:
Charlotte only eats Hill's Science Diet "Sensitive Stomach" formula. Char's Vet recommended this food for her because her breed is known for having sensitive stomachs.

Favorite Walk:
She likes our neighborhood but she also likes Northport down by the water and Port Jefferson because there are always other dogs there for her to meet!

Best Tricks:
She knows sit, lay down and stay on both verbal and non-verbal commands. So she is best at that and she will act on a finger snap or simply the word "sit". She is very obedient.

Arrival Story:
My husband and I had no idea we were going to get a dog. The only thing we knew is how much we loved them and that we wanted one but didn't know which kind. My parents had a miniature schnauzer and highly recommended the breed. My husband and I happened to be walking through a town and we came across this charming pet store. They got their dogs directly from breeders and when we walked in we were amazed at how clean the facility was. They only had about ten dogs and we saw a Jack Russel that we really liked... we left to walk around and think about it and when we came back for a "second look" we happened to see Charlotte! We, for some reason, saw EVERY dog in there except Charlotte when we first came in! So, when we went back and saw her- I was unsure b/c she seemed so nervous but my husband BEGGED and told me that he had a "feeling" that this was supposed to be our dog... So, that was it! We bought her right then and there- they took her in the back- bathed her, brushed her, etc and put a pink bow on her and that is how she came out to us (still shaking!). She was adorable and slept the whole way home. She was an angel from day one!! We bought her on her three month old birthday (April 30, 2006)!

Bio:
Charlotte weighs ten pounds and her Vet, Dr. Gurtman, told us that he believes she is full grown. We take her to get groomed reguarly and we love the schnauzer cut! She goes to Olympia's Grooming Salon in Fort Salonga and Olympia takes great care of her! She always gets a treat for being so well behaved. Charlotte, believe it or not, enjoys watching TV- she loves "The Dog Whisperer" and any Dog Shows! She is a joy to have as a pet.

We have discovered a DOG RUN!!!

Wow, I can't even begin to tell you how happy Charlotte is since we found this dog run in Huntington. It is off of Route 110 in Huntington (take Gwynne Road) and it's right there!! Char has a BALL when we take her. So far, we have taken her about 3 or 4 times (whenever the weather is nice). We took her again today and she loved it.

We are going to take her back tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be good again. I can't wait for the really nice weather so we can take her once a week! She gets so excited on the way there... and then she plays with all of the dogs. The dogs that go there are really friendly and fun to play with. She has made QUITE a few friends so far!!

She loves the big dogs and sometimes she gets a little intimidated because a lot of dogs really like her and chase her around! But she really enjoys it while we are there and when we take her home she is EXHAUSTED.

We get to meet other nice dogs and owners too which is nice.

Yay for the dog run!!! She loves being off the leash!!

Poor Char... she is not happy lately because she has not been getting as much time outside as she normally does when the weather is not so frigid. I feel bad for her but it has been so bitter cold lately. The other day was in single digits and with the wind chill: YIKES!

I'm excited for Spring and then Summer... we all get more time outside and excersize when the weather is nice. I take her to the park or on a walk daily-- long walks too! when the weather is nice. She misses it and I think she is going to have Spring fever.

Well, she'll be happy in a few more weeks :)

I'll take her to the beach to run around then! She just loves being outside.

We are hoping to get her a sibling in the next few years :)
