Got her when she was 4 weeks old. She is the smartest dog that I ever had, she understands full phrases with absolutely no accompanying body language - like "I think you forgot your bone in the backyard go get it" or "no, you can't take the bear outside to play, take the rope instead". Well, it doesn't mean she will obey the "sit" and "lay" everytime as she has her fair share of stubborness. Bio: Maya lost her best friend Thor to cancer in August 2006. As she was getting depressed, I went to the Animal Sanctuary in Norman to find another "gentle giant" to be her friend, and the Fates wanted me to come back home with a whippet. I have never regretted the decision to get Whisper instead of what I initially went to look for. Maya "adopted" Whisper from the very first day and they absolutely adore each other. I am a happy girl. Girly-gal, pwincess, baby-girl, says Momma.
I have a new little brother (well not that new, we're together now for over 2 months) that is a great sleeping companion and a great playing companion. We share food, we share toys (well more me than him BOL), we share kisses. I'm so happy Mommy brought him to be with us.
I love Momma, I love my new little brother, the spring is finally here and we can be outside basking in the sun and chasing flies in the backyard.
I only miss Thor sometimes. He went to the Rainbow Bridge, he said Betsy was alone there and someone had to go keep her company, and I had to stay here not to leave Momma alone. He is always in my heart though.
