Arrival Story:
Well, I got my new family because my big brother's big sister went to the rainbow bridge in May 2005. I never got to meet her, but my daddy says she was the best Dalmatian and best friend there ever was. I think I'll be a great friend, too, I'm not worried. Then my big brother kinda got lonely bein' all by himself. So my dads found me and fell in love ( how could they not?). I came from a nice lady in Allen, Texas who had my Mom, Coco Chanel, and all my brothers and sisters. So I went to my new home and started right away keeping my new big brother really busy. He was 14 years older than me so he didn't like to play as much as me, but he tried real hard to make me happy! He went to the rainbow bridge, too, this November. I missed him real bad. I was so depressed. Even when I was done playin' I would think about him and the playin' didn't do any good any more. My dads played with me as much as I wanted, but still when I settled down for dinner or bedtime, I would start to think about him again. So my dads did what they thought would help me. They got my new little brother Harley! Well, his original name was Sherwin. Now he's Harley Sherwin. I got to meet him first, though, just in case I didn't like him. But I like everybody. We got along great at his foster mom's house. So my dads said he is the perfect fit for our family and they had already been approved by Dallas/Fort Worth Labrador Retriever Rescue so we took him home that night! Now we have a family again! We play until we're so tired that we just flop down on the floor cuz we can't go any more. It was funny when we got home, cuz the first two days Harley was here, he fell in the pool 3 times. Ha-Ha! I only fell in once when I first came home!
I overheard my dads talking one night and they said that my little brother was saved from a shelter by DFW Lab Rescue! He was going to be euthanized, whatever that means. Why would a great dog like a Lab need rescuing? I don't know. Anyway my new brother is a whole two weeks younger than me, so I'm gonna try to be the leader of the pack! Well, that's my story so far. That's alot of stuff to happen in such a short period of time, huh? Well, me and my new family are gonna make a go of it. Gotta go play now! Bye!
