Arrival Story:
I obsessed over dogs while I was in college. Living in an apartment I thought it cruel to have a dog and no yard. I wanted an active dog because I am, too. I also wanted something small. I decided on a Pembroke Corgi and started researching breeders in my area. I found one awesome breeder in Columbia, SC named Linda Galphin. She allowed me time to get to know her and her dogs. She even allowed me to puppy sit on several occasions to make sure this is the kind of breed I wanted. Last October (four years later) I finally had a big backyard and a puppy corgi to fill it with.

Bio:
I stole the name "Kayin" from a show on Animal Planet. It is Swahili word meaning "long awaited child." A Zoo in Australia named the first Rhino born in the country "Kayin". Apparently a Rhino's gestation period is 14 MONTHS! I thought the name would be appropriate for the dog I'd waited four years for.
