Wow! The winter flew by yeah! Spring is just around the corner, but the mud in the park is here already and the ice melted enough for me to decide to swim yesterday... I turned 10 in January. I feel great. My Mom has me on real cooked food now and I lOVE it! I cannot wait until meal time, I get so excited. My Mom says I am becoming a "crow" in my old age. Who's she calling old anyway? I can still beat those one year old Labs to the ball in the water!
They noticed a high liver value in my routine blood work last year and I had to get tested for Addison's disease (negative), had ultrasounds (liver looked fine), had prescriptions and I guess nothing worked. I am showing no symptoms of anything and the Vet said I could live to a ripe old age and nothing could happen, but Mom decided to take me to the Naturpathic Vet. I like that Vet she has me on cooked food yum, oh yeah and chinese herbals. We shall see if that works. I hope I am on cooked food forever!

Summer 2009

It has been a cool wet summer so far. Yesterday was beautiful though and I got to go swimming almost all afternoon. Mom bought me a life jacket last summer. She says it is easier on my joints, and I am 9 1/2 going on 2! I was beating all of those 1 year old labs to the ball..
I also like to search the bottom of the lake for treasures, mostly sunken balls, I found 6 yesterday...
My health has been great! My knees are real good (touch wood). I had to have an ultrasound of my liver though because one liver value was elevated in my yearly blood work. There was no sign of disease, thank Dog! They have me on Milk Thistle, which is OK because I get the pills every night in peanut butter or cheese, yum.
Well have a great summer, I know I will Don't tell anyone, but I kind of like a cool summer, more energy...

Where did the time go, my Mom says? I had a great day, a walk in my favourite off leash park, a doggie birthday cake to share with my buddies, AND it is snowing! what more could a girl want?

Summer 2008

Summer is going by so fast, however there is a lot more swimmimg to do yet! I am feeling good. I am back in hydrotherapy to manage my arthritis and it is going good so far. I went to the beach the other day and I ran and ran thru the fields and the waves. I did not have a ball or anything, just felt like going for a run... Mom says I have not done that for years and she was worried I would be sore the next day, but I was not! I even chased my tail a bit the other day when Mom came home from work and I have not done that since I was a youngster!!
I love summer!

Now I am 8!

I turned 8 a few weeks ago. Mom took me to the Three Dog Bakery for my birthday! I got some real cool stuff and some "pup cakes" to share with my friends.
I wiped out on the ice and pulled a muscle about 5 weeks ago. It has been a very icy winter. I am coming along fine, hate the leash walkies, but the ice was mostly washed away this week so I got to go off leash yesterday! Hopefully I can go again this weekend, as I am used to off leash walkies daily.
I am sick of walking around the "hood" (so is Mom). She is just being very cautious because of my knee surgeries, she won't even bring my ball, which ticks me off. Oh well Spring is coming and soon I will be swimming!

I love Summer!

Got to go swimmimg today! I love summer! Lakes, The Ocean, Visiting! I am so lucky Mom is only working part time this summer. I cannot let her out of my sight, we might be going in the car! Have a good summer!

I am 7!!

I had a birthday yesterday, I am now 7! My Mom cannot believe it, she said just yesterday I was her 8 1/2 pound baby! Now I am times 10!
I got some new hockey balls and a squeaky ice cream cone for my birthday.
I feel like I am 2, with my new knees!

I love Fall!

I love the Fall air! My Mom says it's getting cold but I like it! I am doing good with my new knees, getting stronger all of the time. I had a small set back but the surgeons think it was just a pulled muscle. Mom makes me take heavy duty liquid glucosimine, chrondoitin, & MSM for horses! I feel better though.
Life is good...

I feel like I am 2 again!

I am doing so good with my new knees!
I have been swimming every day, racing the puppies and stealing everybody else's toys again!
I got to go to the ocean beach for the first time in 4 months on Saturday!
It felt so good to be in the sand and surf, so good I had the "power poops" on the way out to the car from all of the salt water I ingested.
Life is good and I am having a great summer so far!
