Likes: Food, my family, food, the dishwasher, snow, ice, wind, dirt, food, the living room couch, my crate, getting petted, food.
Pet-Peeves: Halloween, getting left alone, deer in my yard, people running through my yard screaming, I really hate baths, going to the vet, getting my ears cleaned out, the vacuum cleaner.
Favorite Toy: My squeaky duck, Kongs, my old navy squeaky bone, my squeaky soctapus, soccer balls, my Bo-Bo, and anything else that squeaks.
Favorite Food: Steak, chicken, peanut butter, cabbage, and anything I find in the road, whether it's supposed to be eaten or not.
Favorite Walk: Hiking in the woods where all the good smells are, and walking anywhere there's snow.
Best Tricks: Shake, high paw, gimme some paw (any word you can put to shake), down. I also know sit, stay, and come (I don't come when I'm off leash, so I'm never off leash). I'm learning roll over, crawl, and some agility stuff.
Arrival Story: In May 2005, we were looking for a dog. We went to the SPCA and found a big, goofy yellow lab named Austin. When we got there, he'd already been adopted. But the next week we saw Benny (then Teddy) and his son, Zanef, a big 4 month old puppy. They were both owner turn-ins. (same owner). We were interested in both of them, but liked Benny more and adopted him. We picked him up 5 days later on Friday the 13th (a very lucky day for us and Benny!) after being neutered.
Bio: Benny is a true mutt. His breed guesses include beagle, husky, corgi, shiba inu, and many others! He also looks a lot like a Corgidor, which is a new "designer breed" that is a corgi/ yellow lab mix.
Benny is named after the Pope. We wanted to change his name because our neighbor's dog's name is Teddy. We adopted him shortly after Pope Benedict started being Pope. Someone in church jokingly suggested we name him Benedict, after the Pope. We liked the name Benny, so we decided to go with it. We're not even Catholic.

The Last Forum I Posted In: Back from Meeting J.K. Rowling!
A few months ago I figured out how to open the fridge! I ate a pound of beef and a loaf of bread. It was very yummy. Then the peeps bought a fridge lock. Sadly, I'm not tall enough to reach the lock, so I can't get in anymore.
But, a couple weeks ago, the peeps forgot to shut the fridge right when they left! And there was a whole cheesecake inside. I got inside and ate the whole thing. It was quite tasty, but it made me sick since there were chocolate chips on top. I'm all better now and it was worth it. I can't wait until they forget to lock the fridge!
Hi Dogster Pals. The black lab mix in my second picture's name is Nitro. She is missing. About a month ago, she escaped from her boarding kennel. Her parents are missing her greatly and are searching all over for her. Some people have spotted her, but no one has managed to catch her yet.
Nitro is missing in Georgia.
