Birthday: September 5th 2005 Likes: frisbees, treats, playing with dogs at the dog park, running with mom or dad on trails, birds, getting scratched while stretching, snow, when we sing to her, cuddling, brushing her teeth Pet-Peeves: Not getting attention when she wants it, dandelions and other weeds (she needs to eat them), not going out for a run everyday, passing the dog park without going in, baths Favorite Toy: frisbee, her talking Shrek, her "lunkey" (a talking half-monkey/half-lion) Favorite Food: bananas Favorite Walk: Palmer Park dog run (off leash trail) or the treadmill we have at home Best Tricks: jumping really high and far, dancing, catching frisbees, bringing you what you ask for, opening closed doors, kisses, biting mom's nails Arrival Story: We knew we wanted a lab and when we came across the silver ones, we were stunned. Did our research and finally picked our breeder. We saw them at 3 weeks and then came back at 6 weeks. Zuma was the fastest runner and the spunkiest, and definitely the dominant one. We had to pick her. When we were driving the 14 hours home, she slept most of the way. She never gave us trouble with crying in her crate at night (she always slept until at least 6 am) or with having to go out to the bathroom. She came potty trained! She has always been a very smart and trainable dog, but a bit of an Alpha! Bio: Zuma is a silver lab (born on Labor Day) that has lots of love, energy, and personality (spunk). She has bursts of energy (a great running partner), but she sure is calm. The best and cutest dog ever (and I'm not just saying that because I'm her parent!). And boy does she love the camera. When she sees one, she hams it up. And she loves us singing to her (we have been doing it everyday since she came home with us - and we have several songs we've made up for her). She'll drop everything just to hear us sing to her. And she won't drink from anything public (I don't know where she picked that one up from). She loves drinking water from a water bottle or running faucet. Zuma has never been one to chew our stuff, but she steals our socks to get our attention.
