Agility and the other dogs

Well agility class as been going well for me. I really like it and am doing really good at the learning the obstacles (at least thats what mommy and the trainer say). But i can tell mom is getting a little distressed because i'm not really getting along with all of my class mates. Last night i almost got into two fights, but it wasn't all my fault. Mom thinks i really dont like golden retrievers, there is two in my class and no matter what is going on i always want to go and bark at them and i don't act nice to them at all. Mom just doesn't get it. I'm ok when were sitting around watching or learning something but when we start running around i get really hyped up and act like i want to go after these other dogs. Mom hates having to yell at me since we're supposed to be at class for fun. But she had to get rather stern with me many times last night. The trainer said she thinks it might be leash related since i'm fine with other doggies at the off leash dog park. And that mom shouldn't be discouraged. she said we need to work through it. But mom feels bad for the other parents there. I just think it should be just me in the ring, don't the other dogs understand that those are my obstacles. I guess i'll try and be better next time,i don't like mom being mad at me.
