SO MANY FRIENDS, so little time....

Mom is so behind in writing. Where to begin. Let's start with meetups...:)) Would you believe that last October I was able to MEET my buddy Vern's Mom in Maryland, as well as my sweet Miss Dixie!???? Now that was a meeting!!! We loved, ate, .... i got to stay in a hotel which i love . Love to jump from bed to bed. And free breakfast.

Actually we stayed in the mountains of North Carolina. I love it up there. Nice and cool.

We are going to go again soon enough...only mom has to see more MD's for her hip/ and her walking issues....or so she says...:)) She wishes that she could go back to Miss Dixies and visit the moms' there but she has to settle her physical problem once and for all. No way to spend a summer...but my Daddy will help out.

Let's see - we also spent time with Abigale Junes Mom - they came for Easter this year....and it was wonderful! Mom said that i was too aggressive...and its not the first time .... ANYWAY..stay tuned...mom missed a lot in her writing, but she'll make up for it.

PSST/ had my fruit, yogurt, broccoli and kibble.... anti-oxidants help the skin issues..!

...and so it goes.....

THE DAYS in the LIFE OF LP - SHIP DAZE IS ALMOST OVER!:))

This means ; I have my sea legs back, but frankly, never lost them... ! I sure miss those neat fruits, veggies.... room service, WOW!!! Mom certainly keeps the diet under control, now if she could 'control' hers.

We've had some rains, winds here - but - being on the high seas has taught me a lot. Nature is nature, and it's all around us. We have to cope, to balance, and to keep on balancing.

More good news.... 2 more cruise ships are now accepting pets. OPENLY accepting pets. That would be the Queen Mary - and the QE 2...but the paper work is different for British ships.

For this ship/ i just needed my basic vaccination papers- and a document from the USDA from my vet to prove that i was in good health and fit to travel.

When we got back into the states, they never asked to see the documents.... :))

MY TRANSATLANTIC TRIP To MEET FAMILY!!!- April 14, 2012 - A Day in the Life of a Little Yorkie!

Yes, I was whisked away by family, and on the ship we went. Greatest happening in my life. They even had a giant size littler box on the 4th deck - and Mom said that i was very good!

It was an adventure to say the least. As in Room service, where I would obtain bits and pieces of fresh fruits, veggies, my main kibble - and life was good. We would go on the jogging deck, mom would wrap me - and we'd watch the ocean go by .

Most exciting was finally reaching the Rock of Gibraltar ....we took pictures, Mom hugged me, kissed me, and cried. It was so beautiful. YET - her main goal was to protect me, because everyone wanted to pet me. We had to keep a low cover. So aside from our outings where mom hid me in her nautica bag, we kept to the cabin.

My legs on land: the Canary Islands. .... I chased pigeons. Pigeons on the Canary Islands? Hmm....strange. I expected to chase Canaries. ( Tanirife).

Then we went to Palma de Mallorjas - i stretched my legs as mom shopped for pearls...then on to Barcelona which was too noisy and crowded. I slept in my bag while mom shopped a bit - but we were all tired.

THEN on to France - Toulon ... i enjoyed the train ride tour! I was 'so allowed' everywhere because over 'there' , wherever i was ( Mom said that i didn't realize that i had left the country) - they love us little ones.

On to Civitavecchia ... where we waited for Dad to get the rental car. THEN the drive down to the Southern part of Italy south of Naples - where my / our loving family was waiting for us. OH what joy! Such love. One Auntie had a poodle...so, after the usual greeting sniffs, I headed for her food figuring that she had to watch her diet. Being a poodle and all. We stayed there for 5 days ( after 2 weeks aboard the ship) . Flew from Rome to Dusseldorf and then back to the US.

A screaming baby, as in non stop - was amusing. Maybe to me, but not to mom. I just sat on Mom's lap and watch that critter make a fool of itself. We're speaking non stop here.

Landed in Ft. Myers Florida. .... visited our family friend in the nursing home...and now...am snoozing it off.

Strangely enough, the house isn't moving. To all those that read: Make sure you have your papers ( vaccine) on hand, which they never look at when they see my adorable face ..... ! Mom took my food ( the Nutro in the little disposable tubs - my dry food ( kibble) in little plastic bags - enough 'p' pads just in case - but i never needed them. In short, i had my own suitcase.

In Dusseldorf Germany, mom took me into the Ferrari Store and bought me a teddy bear. Didn't like it. Couldn't snap the neck, and i was way toooooo tired.

So here we are back in the States, all safe and sound - and Mom said that this was her objective in addition to seeing family, ( even if they hoisted my carry on onto the luggage rack) ...but to get me back to the States safely.

A Day in the Life of Lord Pippin - The Heat is ON!

Yes, plenty of pool pix on YouTube, mom is determined to make me a celebrity yet...but it's so so boring. No peace of a little pup.....sheesh!

Mom has finished a very very busy teaching year...and is looking forward to a long summer with me. We may not stay in hot Florida, but go to our mountains in NC for the summer. We love it there.... :)) I love the fresh clean smells of the wild!:)) Being my own pup.... and going out for long walks, now that mom is walking better.

The year has not been to kind says Mom...... she and others am sure, are so so unhappy with our state of affairs..... and for some strange reason, 'nothing we can do, ' says she..... Hmm...if us Yorkies only ruled.

I miss so many of my pup friends....... all off to another book with a face. A shame really! Can you imagine a book with a face, or a faceless book telling all to the world. Mom wishes it would dry up and go away!

9 March, 2011- Moving on ahead.......

.....does time ever fly! Mom and Papi put two huge 'islands' in front of the house........ (Landscaping) .... and so things have been busy! I've been itching, that time of year..... !

Also, had houseguests. Couldn't wait until they left because they didn't like me. And mommy said.......uh, never mind what she said, hehe........!!!

This cannot be March already! Gosh!!! BUT in the eyes of a yorkie..... time sorta drags. I took a few walks on my own, but, of course i get in trouble.

Mr. Kitty hides in the bushes and terrorizes the heck out of me..... gee....at least meow that you are omnipresent, dear KAT. .... silly thing. I've learned to take detours to avoid that 'thing'..... in case he backtracks when i chase him.

And so it goes......

21 February, 2011 - DOES TIME EVERY FLY!!!!!

Today, the pawrents took me out in my 'carriage.' ...... we ate at a nice restaurant....../ THEN, they were looking at car. I HAD ONE of my first rides in a GOLF CART!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! A GOLF CART. Mom said that i was a trooper.... I hopped on ........and just enjoyed the fresh air blowing through my crew cut! BOL!!!

All in all, it was a good day! 'cept at the RESTAWRANT, I got to eat only lettuce and fruit..... boring........!!!!!!!!

I love my outing days!! I get sooooooo much attention!!:))

14 February 2011 - MY GOTCHA DAY!

Yep. Mom and Papi got me in 2004. They drove in the van on Sat., and there I was. Mom searched for 2 years....and even 'interviewed' the breeder lady........not knowing that she would be the one!

Yup/ she's was the one....! There she was, with me in her arms. My Pedigree ( not that Mommy really cared because she loved me at first sight) ..... was Juan Carlos of Spain...my Daddy was the breeder in the Royal Palace in Spain. Then my "FurDaddy' came to this country, met my mommy Patti..... and that was it. Seven of us. And i was the runt!

Mommy held me so close. Now, she used to Adopt doberman , but for sure, she wanted someone like me. In fact, she started looking for me when her last doberman Jake was alive...so that HE could have a buddy....BUT... Jake went to the Bridge. And after moving from Miami to St. Augustine, she decided it was time to get what 'she' wanted/ always wanted. ME. Yup ME!!!

SO, at 8 and 1/2 weeks, mom was there. .... and oh.... we were all so in love. Our Valentine. Her 'funny ' Valentine....... and pure, unconditional love....:)

12 February 2011 = MY NEW HOME DAY!

YUP, on February 14, 2004, - a Saturday, I was picked up from the breeder, and brought to this very house. They brought a little basket to put me in, ... but to heck with it. I JUMPED OUT, into mom's arms, and looked out the window of the car ..... 1/4 of a pound..... my ears still taped up!

And the story goes. They didn't know really what to name me ... Valentino? NO, Moses? ( because of the basket and blankie)? No. ....

It was great. Simply great..... I slept next to mommy. Made the most precious little yorkie sounds, she said..... and learned to meander my way around this big house.

So this is 'my' day.....I got gotted.

7 Feb. 2011 - The Loving Time of year!

Mom stuffed me in my Tux the other day for pictures. Dang..but when she started praising me, it was wow! I just stayed and stayed, and when she was through I stayed, LOL!! BOY , those kind words melted my heart.

Kind of rainy here now, mom calls it liquid snow. What would happen if it were snow..!! Mom wishes it were snow.

Mom had a new member in the YorkieVille group join! 17 years old!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom wants to find out the secrets from the mom for my longevity!

Such is life. We love it, we love each other.......welcome to the world of love. My gotcha day was Feb 14....stay tuned for more of that!

30 January, 2011 - END OF THE MONTH - Almost....

.....and so it goes. And pretty soon my 'gotcha' day!!! Just think, all this time, seven or so years ago, i was a bumbling puppy baby, not even 1/4 of a pound. When they brought the basket to pick me up ..... I jumped out, got on mommy's lap/ ..... and looked out the window, as best I could....I could never stay 'put'.....:))) Mommy is trying to think of a nice surprise for me...maybe a ride out to my 'breeders'...... she and mom are close....! Hmm...wonder what it can be. will let you know.....
