I'm Back!

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've updated. Well, let's see... I guess I left off telling everyone about my tummy problems. My tummy feels a lot better now, but guess what?! The vet found out that I had bladder stones! Mommy was really upset when the vet told her and I was scared! I had to have surgery in December to get them out so I'm all better now. That wasn't very fun though. I remember coming home and I was so tired and in pain! I didn't want anybody to touch me - I just wanted to hide under the table and sleep. Mommy was really worried about me, but she let me sleep under the table. Mommy even gave me my blankie! I love my mommy!

One bad thing about having the surgery is that I can't eat yummy food anymore! Mommy told me that I have to eat special food so that I don't get bladder stones again. I'm so sad because I can't have treats or anything yummy! I really miss eating carrots and chicken and apples... *sigh*

Aside from the boring stuff, I've just been having a lot of fun running around and giving everyone kisses! Auntie Jill has been coming over a lot to visit me lately. I love Auntie Jill! She always plays with me and she's just as excited to see me as I am to see her! Mommy says that Auntie Jill has a sheltie named Casey. I'm not sure what a sheltie is but mommy says Casey is very nice! I can't wait to meet him! I just hope Auntie Jill and mommy give ME more attention! =)

So that's pretty much all I've been doing. Ooooh! I just remembered another thing that happened. Two days ago, I was in the car and mommy was driving home and I had to pee really really badly. I tried my best to wait until we got home. I really did! Except I couldn't hold it anymore and I accidentally went pee in mommy's car. Mommy was SOOOOOOOOO MAD at me! I was really sorry but mommy was furious! I didn't know what to do so I just sat nicely and gave mommy my "I'm sorry" eyes. Mommy must've been really mad because she didn't fall for that. I was really sad so I stayed in the garage with mommy while she cleaned up the car. I was hoping that mommy wouldn't be mad anymore when we went inside, but she still was so I just waited on the couch and looked at mommy. I tried giving her my "I'm sorry" eyes again but mommy gave me her mad look and ignored me. It seemed like a really really long time later that mommy finally forgave me and gave me a hug. YAY! I was so glad that mommy wasn't mad anymore that I gave her a million kisses! And I could tell that mommy still loved me because she gave me a million hugs and kisses back! I'm definitely never going to pee in the car again!

Not Feeling Well

Hi everyone! I haven't updated in awhile because I haven't been feeling well. Last month, Kona came to stay with me and mommy for a week and she scratched my eye when we were playing. Mommy was really worried because I wouldn't open my eye so she took me to the emergency room. They put some weird stuff in my eye and I didn't like it but it did make my eye feel better! So that was good.

But THEN, a couple days later mommy took me to the emergency room again because I had thrown up all over the floor in mommy's room and my tummy wasn't feeling well. The vet took me away from mommy for too long!! But he was nice so I wasn't too scared. I actually had fun playing with the technicians there! When they brought me back to mommy, I heard the vet tell her they thought I might have pancreatits. I don't know what that is but it doesn't seem too good because mommy was upset. The vet also told mommy that I had to stay at the hospital over night so that they could make sure I don't throw up anymore and that I don't get dehydrated. I didn't really understand what that meant until mommy started walking away and she left me in the cage! I was so scared because I didn't want mommy to leave me there all by myself! Why wasn't she taking me home??? I wanted to go home! I stuck my paws out of the cage and cried for mommy. She felt really bad and came back to hold me but she said that I had to stay there to get better. I was really sad and I cried until I couldn't see mommy anymore.

The next day, mommy came to visit me in the morning and I was so excited to see her!! YAY!! I couldn't really run around and gives mommy kisses because the vet had stuck something in my arm. It was really itchy and I tried nibbling it off but mommy wouldn't let me. I thought mommy was going to take me home but she said she couldn't! POO!! Mommy said the vet wanted me to stay there until they were sure I felt better. Later at night, mommy came to take me home and I was so relieved that I made sure that I stayed as close to her as possible. Mommy told me that the vet said I don't have pancreatitis. Instead, I just had a really bad upset stomach! I guess I was really stressed out with Kona there.

It's been about two weeks since all that happened and I'm feeling much better now! I look different though because mommy had to trim all the fur around my butt and on my tail. It doesn't bother me because mommy says that I'm still a cutie. =) As long as I get lots of hugs and kisses, I don't really care about that stuff. I'm just glad to be back home.

Labor Day Weekend

I had so much fun this weekend!! Grandma came to visit and I met my great uncle for the first time! I barked at him at first because I thought he was a stranger but then he fed me some treats and we became best friends! I jumped on his lap and gave him kisses just like I do for mommy and Grandma! I love grandma! I haven't seen her in so long! I couldnt's stay still when I saw grandma! I just kept jumping and running around in circles around her because I was so excited! Grandma even brought me more treats! YAY! Uncle Jim also brought cousin Kona over! We had the greatest time running around and just sitting on the balcony together. We saw another dog that lives downstairs and I barked at him but Kona didn't bother. After we got tired from running around, Kona and I got to eat some popsicles! Popsicles are really yummy! Mommy chased us around trying to get pictures of us together. She says she'll post them later. All in all, I had a fantastic weekend! =)

Trespassers

I had a very interesting Monday morning! Well, it actually started Sunday night. See, mommy and I were at Ryan's house on Sunday and when we got back at night, mommy was upset!! I didn't really know why but it was something about a toilet??? I guess she's talking about that big white thing next to my litter pan. I don't really know what that's for... but it's just there! Mommy just kept looking into it and pushing the handle at the side of it and the toilet made this gurgly sound. I was very amused. =) I stood up to look into it once and all I saw was water! Nothing else! Maybe I missed something because I could barely reach the top but it doesn't seem like anything special! Anyway, mommy stopped after a couple tries and then we went to sleep. The next morning, mommy and I were just doing our regular morning routine when the doorbell rang!! That usually means someone's outside! I couldn't let bad people come into MY home so I barked really loudly trying to scare them off! But mommy opened the door and let them in! What was she thinking??? She wouldn't even let me go bark at the people!! Poo! Well, the people just came in and walked over to the toilet and put something into it! I ran over to see and all I saw was a stick poking out of the toilet! Hahaha! It looked so funny!! And when one of the guys pushed on the stick it made a funny gurgly sloshing sound. I was so curious that I decided to stop barking and to watch the guys make funny sounds in the toilet. =P After a couple minutes, they left! I don't really understand but all I know is that after the guys left there was no gurgly sound in the toilet! So strange... I don't think I'll ever really understand why humans do what they do. It's so much easier being a dog. =)

I Want Attention... NOW!

I feel better today! =)

Well, mommy is back to being busy again. She says she's "studying for finals" but it doesn't look like anything important to me. She just sits at her desk staring at paper all day! That can't be very fun! So I decided to help mommy by getting her to play with me! I'm sure that's a million times more fun than staring at paper! The only problem is that mommy kept telling me that she can't play and then she started ignoring me! What's THAT all about??? She can AT LEAST pay attention to me! So I just started whining and crying and whining and crying... and did I mention whining and crying? Then I waved my arms around at mommy until she finally couldn't resist anymore and picked me up! Now I'm sitting on her desk trying to cover her papers with my butt so she'll play with me. That didn't work too well so I tried giving her lots of kisses instead. Mommy just laughed and hugged me but she still wouldn't play with me!

*YAWN* Maybe I'll just sleep on her papers instead...

I Don't Feel Good...

I guess I shouldn't have eaten that entire dental bone. My tummy doesn't feel so good now. It's a good thing I don't have to wait for mommy to take me outside to go to the bathroom. Ugh... I hope I get better soon. Mommy's worried about me. She says that next time I only get to nibble on the dental bone a little at a time. I think that's probably a good idea. =(

Bath Time!

Well, now that mommy finally finished her papers, she has time to play with me! YAY!! EXCEPT... instead of playing first, mommy gives me a bath! Hmph! I don't deserve a bath! I deserve play time! Besides, I had a nice "me" smell that took forever to get right!

She washed me, cleaned my ears, brushed me - I didn't like one bit of it! So I got back at mommy by splashing water all over her! Hahaha! I got her all wet! Then after my bath, I ran all over the apartment rolling around on the couch, the bed, and the carpet just to get back at mommy some more! But I must admit, I do smell rather nice now...

The good part of having to take a bath is that mommy gave me a treat afterwards! I got a yummy, minty dental bone to chew on! It was so good I finished the whole thing! YUM YUM! I don't think mommy had expected me to finish it! =)

OK... that's it for now! I forgive mommy for making me take a bath. We're going to go play with teddy now! Bye for now!

I'm Bored

I'm so bored right now. Mommy told me that she has to write two research papers this week for school. I don't really know what that means but I do know that mommy won't have much time to play with me! I'm so sad... I wish we could play all day long. Oh well. I suppose I could entertain myself with Teddy and chew on my rawhides but that's just not as fun as playing with Mommy.

At least I can sleep on her lap while she clicks away at that weird looking button thing. Once I stepped on it and I saw these squiggly black lines appearing on this window. I also saw myself on this window! I wonder what it is...

I'm so bored...
