Quick Bio:

To be around his family, his squeaky toys and TREATS!!

He hates the vacumn cleaner. Barks the whole time it's on. He is afraid at the vets.

Favorite Toy:
His Orange Nylabone stuffed squeaky toy. He actually licks it like a cat would.

Favorite Food:
Cheese and any TREATS!! He'd live on them if we'd let him.

Best Tricks:
He knows how to sit & stay.

Arrival Story:
We've had Rudy since he was 8 weeks old.

Now on his lst Birthday, he weighs 13 and a half lbs. He's a big boy for sure, and we love him dearly. Some of the pictures you see of him were taken when we took him to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in December 06. He loved the sand and wasn't afraid of the ocean. 1-31-2011 Our Rudy at almost 5 years old weighs 20 lbs. Our vet always says "he's the biggest Yorkie she's ever seen."

It's been over a whole year now since we had to have Rudy PTS. And I still am finding it hard to believe he's not here with us any longer. In July 2014 the vet found a mass on his Spleen. While taking the x-ray of his Spleen they found he also had a bad herniated disk in his back that was impossible to operate on. But Rudy never showed any symptom of having back problems before. The vet operated on Rudy & took out his Spleen. It was cancerous but the vet felt she got all the cancer. He seemed really good the rest of July & August. But in September he had a little bit of a problem walking so back to the vet we went. The vet said it was his herniated disk that was causing his walking problem and it would only get worse. She put him on like 3 different medications. His walking did get worse and by the time we took him back to the vets on October 14th, 2014 his hind end just drooped and he couldn't walk anymore. The vet said he was paralyzed from the waist down and there was nothing else they could do for him. We made that very hard decision that day at the vets after she said that to have him PTS. The vet even recommended that too. I will always remember him looking at me while sitting on that table at the vets like he was saying, what's the matter with me?. Rudy was only 8 and a half years old. I never thought I'd loose him so young when a lot of Yorkies live to be into their teens. I miss his presence and his big personality. We will Love You Forever our "Doodie Bug" and you will always, always have a special place in my heart!!!!

June 24th 2010 / Annual Vet Visit.

Rudy gets very nervous & upset when he goes to the vets. Previously the vet gave us a "calming down" pill for Rudy for his visits. Well....I don't think those pills are strong enough anymore. LOL He still was very nervous and excited after taking his pill 2 hours previously.
Rudy now weighs 20 lbs 6 oz. The vet said she thinks he's "the biggest Yorkie she's ever seen." LOL She also said he could stand to loose a pound or two. Were trying to work on that by giving him less treats & Dogswell Shape Up Weight Management Chicken & Oats dog food. Plus adding green beans to his food.
Other than his weight and "excitable issues" (which he even has when someone comes to visit us) he's a good doggie.
We Love You Duddie Bug.

Today, April 2nd, 2007 was Rudys lst Birthday!! We celebrated after everyone got home from work. Rudy had a dog bone shaped Birthday Cake, which his new brother, Lucky, helped him eat. He also got two new stuffed toys. One is a Birthday Cake with candles on it and plays the "Happy Birthday" song. He loves that one. He's been playing with it ever since he got it. The other one is blue with a yellow ribbon Birthday present toy that squeaks.
Shh.... we didn't tell him cause it's his Birthday, but tomorrow night he goes for his lst class of Doggie Manners School. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one. He's so sweet.... but a handfull. I promise to let you all know how he did.
Thanks for reading about Rudy's very special lst Birthday.
