Have a Heart and Help Save Casper!!!

i am a proud owner of 5 Pomeranian's but i have trouble with my little 6 month old Casper (he will be 7 months as of Aug 28/2008)...
Casper has been diagnosed with heart problems about 3 weeks ago… after seeing 3 different vet's that gave me 3 different opinions I decided to do a EKG (Electrocardiogram or also known as Ultra sound).
I was Hoping that it was nothing major and it's something that he can grow out of…
Well I was wrong, Casper needs a operation… he's got PULMONIC STENOSIS…
Casper unfortunately has severe stenosis… that's why his heart murmur sounds so loud and that's why the first vet evaluated him at a grade 6 murmur . The right artery is barely pumping blood into his heart; he is in risk of his heart enlarging on the right side, and then cardiac arrest, or even sudden death..

He needs the operation as soon as possible I am hoping to get it done by mid September (the procedure that he needs done is Balloon angioplasty) … his heart is only going to be able to take it for so long… I don't have much time, the vet told me I have no more than 2 months before it gets even worse… and it’s been already almost a month.
i Really need help from all you animal lovers out there... i can't afford this procedure on my own I am currently trying to raise money for Caspers Heart Procedure...
The procedure is $3500…
I feel so heart broken over this whole ordeal, as he is just a little baby and still have many years to live one…

Christmas Eve!

Oh boy, its almost Christmas!!! I can hardly wait! Today all of mommies family are coming over and the house will be PACKED! I think I'm going to stay in my room.... errr..... mommy's room. We got up early this morning, and mom gave me a bath and brushed me until I shined like a brand new penny. Then she put the Christmassy neck band on me. She's really learning. Last year she put in an itchy hot Christmas sweater. Yuck! I was paw miserable! Now I'm sitting in the window waiting for everyone to show up. Hopefully mom will sneak me some roast pork and rice.
This Christmas was very special! We recieved so many cards from all of our friends in AFF that our tree is filled! You can hardly see the tree! Also, we recieved gifts from our best friends Harley, Tink and their family. Thank you aunt Susie! We can't wait to open them on Christmas morning! I also got a gift from my secret santa in Pommie Love. It was a beautiful camo jacket. I loved it! This was a real mans jacket! Mommies always buying me these metrosexual frilly jackets, someone realized Imma boy! Thanks Secret Santa! I really do love it!
I also got a beautiful ornament from my pal Vinny in Tiny Paws! It was so nice, check out my picture with it. We put it right on the front of the tree so everyone can see it. Its so nice!
Thanks to all my furriends on Dogster. You have really made this a special Christmas for me and mommy. We love you all and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Let it SNOW!!

I woke up this morning, and lo and behold, the earth outside was blanketed in a layer of the pretty, cold white stuff. I jumped on mom and started pawing at her face. "Wake up!", I barked. She grumbled something about being a bad boy and rolled over. Hmph, I thought indignantly, doesn't she know that we haven't had snow in a gazillion days? Under all this fur, I am after all, a DOG!!
I positioned myself next to her ear and let out a loud, fast BARK!
She turned over laughing and groggily asked, "What do you want Cosmo?"
Well duh! I want to go outside!! She finally got up and then I had to wait for her to brush her teeth and drink that mud in a cup that she won't share and then pick out a coat for me to wear. We finally got outside and it was FREEZING!!! Why can't it be warm when it snows, huh?? Scruffy, Chewie and I ran around and then mom took us for a walk around the block. Scruffy even ate some snow, but it was too cold for me!! I had lots and lots of fun!
Does snow mean Santa's coming soon??

Howl-O-Weenie 2007!!!!!

I know I'm four days late, but my personal secretary is just getting time to write my diary enty while I dictate. This Howl-O-Ween was very exciting! I had 3 costumes! Plus my costume from last year!
I had my famous Captain Jack Sparrow costume, my shark hoodie and my Marines outfit.
The only one that I liked was the shark hoodie, it was so comfy and soft. That captain hat was so heavy and kept falling into my eyes and I hated it! I only wore it to take pictures!
But it payed off because I won the Tiny Paws Halloween costume contest for non-edited male! Yay!
Thanks Tiny Paws for picking me! It really made my day!
I didn't like my marines outfit either, because duh! Dogs are not supposed to wear pants! Thats the great thing about being a dog, you let your derriere just hang out there.
Anyway, on Howl-O-Ween mom carved a pirate ship into a pumpkin to go with my Jack Sparrow costume, but since I hated it so much, she let me spend Howl-O-Weenie as a shark! Yay! We ran around in the yard and barked at all the trick or treaters. After all, your supposed to be scared on Halloween right? We were just making sure that their Halloween was complete! That sure was fun!
I also want to thank Chloe for my Halloween toys and Gizmo the Great for my Halloween bandana's. Thanks you guys!! I loved everything.

Now Thanksgiving is coming! I'm so 'cited! Turkey Turkey Turkey!! This Thanksgiving we're going up to the Pocono's and mom promised me my own lil pommie sized plate of goodies! Yay! Can't wait!

OoOoH I've been Tagged ThRiCe!!

Well aren't I Mr. Popular! I got tagged three times by my good buddies Bam Bam, Dixie and Oreo! This is a fun game to get better acquainted with your Dogster friends. Ok here are my 7 random facts:

1. I have a lot of "issues". I have a heart murmur, retained baby teeth, one testicle, the begginings of a collapsed trachea and terrible tear stains! Mom calls me her lil' mess!! Hee hee!

2. My absolute favorite food is chicken! I'll eat ANYTHING as long as mom adds a lil chicken to it. I even only eat chicken kibble!

3. I love looking out the window when we're in the car. Seatbelts are for wusses, like my brother Scruffy!! Don't tell him I said that!!

4. My favorite thing in the world is to go outside. Even if its only to greet the chinese delivery man, its the greatest!

5. If mommy tries to oversleep I wake her up by scratching and biting playfully at her face. Hey, she can't interrupt my feeding schedule because she's feeling lazy, right?

6. I know how to do a couple of tricks such as dance, high five, shake, walk, play dead, sit, come, stay, close doors, touch, speak and down. Wanna perform like me? Tell your human to head down to the local pet store and get a clicker!! Hee hee!!

7. I'm a ladies man!! Uh huh, uh huh! I don't like it much when males try to take over my turf... and yes I make it known. I even bit mom a couple of times cuz she got in the way of me and another dog in the middle of a scrap... We're working on that now because she said I'm aggressive... I still call it being a dog...

NYC Dogster Meet up=Huge SuCcEsS!!

Well!! I had so much fun yesterday!! Mom was a lil worried because I haven't been socialized in a while and she thought that I would be very aggressive and feisty with the other dogs. Boy, did I prove her wrong!
We were supposed to be there at 1 o'clock to meet Gibbon, Mia and their mom. We got there a lil early so mom and grandma decided to walk me and Scruffy around a lil bit to get us used to the other dogs. I was so overwhelmed by the amount of dogs that we're there! There must have been like a thousand! Ok... mom said I'm over exaggerating, but whose diary is this anyway? Yeah, so anyway I was so overwhelmed, I went PLOP! and fell out!! and then I got back up and started sniffing butt! BOL!
We finally sauntered over to where Gibbon, Mia and mommy Jasmine were setting up the Dogster bench. We met everyone, including my new good friends, Dash and Mindy and their awesome dad!! Then mom and grandma walked us around some more to collect some free goodies. We came back eventually and did the grab bag. I won a cool leash and mom got a Dogster t-shirt! We also got a goodie back chock full of toys and treats!! After that, I met Gizmo the Great!! He is such an awesome dog with the best smile under the sun. His mommy is soo nice too! Shes so sweet! Mom said she has a beautiful soul... Whatever that means!
We took a picture together, but I was so jealous of Gizmo and his cool set of wheels, that I tried to bite his nose!! Can't explain that one... Mom got kinda upset at me. She said green eyed monsters are ugly and she would hate if I would become one. So I had to remedy that situation... FAST!! I was nice for the rest of the afternoon. Even in the Dog Park!
My Boxer cuzin Deniro came and we all went into the dog park. I played with a pack of standard size Dobermans and some German Shepards!! BOL!! Everyone was laughing at me cuz I had to stand up on my two back legs to sniff their butt! Hee hee!! What can I say? I roll with the big boys!! You can see a pic of it on my page.
Mom, grandma and Titi Ali became hungry after that, so we headed over the Shake Shack, where us furry guys took a nice long nap under the table while the humans gossiped. It was a perfect day!
I wanna thank Gibbon, Mia, Sparky, Bentley and their mothers for making the day truly awesome! They really brought the day together and made sure everyone enjoyed themselves!!

A Dogster Diary pick of the Day... Yes me!

Well today I woke up, went on a walk, came back inside, checked my email and BANG! An email from Dogster! I'm one of the Diary picks of the day! I'm like, are you kidding me? ME? Ok I know, I know, I wasn't the main pick of the day, but I was still ONE of the picks! I'm a lil excited about it!! BOL Mom was so 'cited. You would've thought I won the Nobel Pup prize or somethin'. She doesn't bother me none. I like getting snuggled and kissed!!

New York City Dogster Meetup!

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it! September 15th is the NYC Dogster meetup in Madison Square Park! Dogster members from NYC and all around will meet together and we're gonna have so much fun! They're will be freebies, goodie bags and even a drawing for a gift certificate at a posh dog boutique!! Mom is co-hosting along with Gibbons mom Mia!! This is a big chance for me, cuz mom said if I behave she'll throw me a dog party at the park, complete with cake, pressies and lots of friends. I'll try my hardest not to act up! Please, please, please let me be good!

Contest winner!!

Wow! August sure was a great month for me! I won 3 contests this month!!
I won Cutest Pomeranian Contest hosted by Mr. Chester first! I was so happy! I mean ALL pomeranians are SO CUTE, how could you decide?!? I also won Pom Pom of the Month in The Pom Pom group!! Pomeranians rock!!
Then I won a non-Dogster contest by Fashion Fur Paws, an online Pet Boutique. I won Posh Pup of the Month!!! Can you believe it?? Mom couldn't. They put my picture in their winners slide show and even put a pic of me on the main page for the month. You can see it here!!

I think August will be my favorite month from now on, well, favorite right after September, because September is my birthday month. I will be 2 this month on the 30th and mom is thinking of throwing a party in the Dog Park. Yay! Presents!! Cake!! Friends!! Happy Birthday to me!
