Quick Bio:

September 5th 1988

I liked to take naps and walks. And that time when the Milton football team came to roll my house, Grandpa and I hid in the bushes until they were right on us, then we chased them down the hill and scared them to death! We still laugh about it now!

I hated when my family didn't take me on trips with them. They'd get back and I'd have to tell them and nudge them until they realized the errors of their ways!

Favorite Food:

Favorite Walk:
I liked to walk the neighborhood.

Arrival Story:
I was adopted from the pound when my family just moved to Roswell, Georgia. My grandma wanted to call me Bucket! Thank gosh that didn't happen!! Since I looked like a little bear cub when I came home, that's the name I was given. Even though I was a big dog, I lived to be 17 years old.

Bear: September 88-June 05

On May 3rd, we'll be walking to raise money to help homeless dogs find loving homes. The event is part of the Reston Pet Fiesta and is called the Tails on Trails Dog Walk. This page is for those who know the love of a dog. For those who have seen first hand what the love of a pet can do for people... Let's make a difference...Sponsor us today!!

Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me. Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do. Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footsteps falls upon my waiting ear. When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements. And I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth. Though had you no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god and I am your devoted worshiper. Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life should your life be in danger. And, beloved master, should the great Master see fit to deprive me of my health, do not turn me away from you. Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest--and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to support us too! Our non-Dogster site will allow you to sponsor us as well as access more information about signing up for the walk for those of you who are interested in joining us! We'd love to meet up! Last year we raised nearly $2000 with your help and generosity. We hope to continue to make a difference for not only the dogs, but their people too!
