October 10th 2000

Sleeping next to his mum and being blow-dried after his bath. He simply loves the hairdryer and burrows against me until I blow on his neck.

The vacuum cleaner, but he's slowly learning to stay away from it. The doorbell drives him nuts too. He also has a go at the ironing board. Getting his paddy-paws wet is a no-no.

Favorite Toy:
A rope and squeaky toy. He also likes his Tiny teddy. Spider and Dolly are a bit large for him.

Favorite Food:
Chicken, rice, pasta, veg, garlic and whatever Mum's eating. He gets his tidbit of toast and butter every morning.

Favorite Walk:
Around the block - only has little legs you see!

Best Tricks:
Give paw, stay, go fetch Teddy. He knows very well that if he flops against me and looks up pleadingly he'll get his neck rubbed.

Arrival Story:
As TJ wasn't very impressed when a new baby arrived in his previous family's life, it was decided he be given to a rescue. Wow! My gain, of course!! He's a real sweetheart and so very affectionate. Mind you, he can sulk like crazy when he feels like it. He loves his cuddles, is inclined to be possessive of me, follows me around like a shadow and when we're sitting down always has his paw resting on me. Gets ever so excited and rocks sideways when he hears the car at night.

Forums Motto:
Mum's Bubbi.

Dear all
A big thank you for your gifts and kind words. I know mum and dad greatly appreciate them.
As you know, I'd become totally blind. Nonetheless, apart from having a few mishaps on the stairs I was coping very well, i.e. until yesterday morning when mum and dad noticed a transformation in me. It all happened so suddenly; I began to circle continuously and then collapsed and when I got back up on my little legs I kept going round in circles again ... I couldn't walk in a straight line. Mum and dad rushed me off to the vet. My condition worsened while I was there and I could barely stand. It was finally discovered that I had an inoperable lesion on the left-hand side of my brain which was causing me to circle to the right. I also had a leaking valve in my heart. Dr Tony explained that my condition would quickly worsen and that it would be unfair to let me suffer.
So, my dear friends, mum and dad had to make the dreadful decision of letting me go. I know their hearts are broken but they will heal in time. My ashes and photo will sit beside those of my angel family, too.
Big fur-hugs and doggie kisses to you all from the Rainbow Bridge.

My heartbroken Mum and Dad wanted to let you know that today, 27th June, 2014 I made my way to the Rainbow Bridge. I know I will be deeply missed by them. I also know they will never forget me.

My dear friends,
Seeing as we’ll soon be saying cheerio to Dogster and the pals we’ve come to love, I’ve asked mum to write what will probably be my last diary entry. Unfortunately, it’s not a happy one. You see, she took me to see the vet today and the sad news is, I’m almost totally blind. Mum had her suspicions, of course. Even so, it was still a shock and as you can imagine she’s awfully heart sore.
Well, I’m a brave little fellow and luckily I know my way around the house. I have to say though, I’m a little hesitant on the stairway (mum says it looks as though I’m counting them as I go up). Anyway, like many other furs that are blind I will learn to cope ... with mum’s love and care, of course.
Big hugs and wags,
Your pal, TJ.
