All alone in the world with a big Brown dog...

*Yawn* What time is it?

I think I slept for a week solid. I'm so bored. I have all these toys, animals, and people to play with, but I just rather watch tv and sit on the couch. I guess I'm calming down in my old age, even though I'm a young six. Anyway...

On Saturday, Grey and I went to the park. We haven't been there since Mommy slammed her foot into Grey's head and got stitches. So we ran and played, but it was really hot, so I was very ready for a bath and a nap. After all that excitement, I decided to play a trick on everyone. I pretended that my leg was hurting, so I limped around all night. But I kept switching legs, so no one knew which one was supposed to hurt. After a while, the joke got old so I quit faking, but I thought it was pretty funny, even though I made everyone worry about me.

Wooof, it's time for my post-sleep nap. Bye!

Mommy's Injury

Last Saturday, Mommy and Daddy took us to the park. We hadn't gone in a while, so it was high time we got to run around like crazy dogs. We had a great time until it was time to play fetch. Daddy had been kicking the ball to us, and Mommy decided she would kick the ball too. Well, on her very first kick, Grey ran right in front of her foot, and her foot slammed Grey in the mouth. Mommy screamed at Daddy to check Grey's teeth and jaw, but Grey had no idea what had just happened. He was still looking for the ball, and he wasn't hurt at all. Meanwhile, Mommy leaned on the fence and screamed for a little bit until she realized that her foot was bleeding. Daddy sat her down and pulled off her shoe only to find that her sock was covered in blood. So he ran with us boys back to the Jeep while Mommy hobbled along. Apparently her foot was hurt badly enough to warrant a trip to the hospital because Daddy drove us back to the house. Then he brought Mommy to the hospital, where she got 5 stitches in her toe. It looked really bad, but now it's much better. I'm glad she's okay, but I do like that Neosporin she puts on the wound. It's rather tasty.

Oh boy, it's Chirstmas again!

This is going to be fun! I know we've got presents waiting because I snuck into the room Mommy hid then in. I know there's some biiiiiiig bones on there, but everything else is wrapped, so I have no idea what else we have. I can't wait to find out!

This is Grey and Charlie's first Christmas. Grey came to us almost a year ago after Christmas time. I still had my big bone, which he ate. I didn't know any dog liked to chew that much. Charlie is getting some toys as well, but he isn't making the trip back home with us because Maw-maw doesn't like cats. I hope he'll be okay home alone. He has this big cat tree thing, an automatic waterer, tons of food, and he can sleep on our beds or Mommy and Daddy's bed all he wants.

I know that Mommy will be happy to take down that tree. She's so tired of Charlie getting into it. He has knocked off so many ornaments, and yesterday, he actually climbed into the tree and panicked. He doesn't understand that you have to behave yourself and ignore those Christmas decorations. Grey and I have been extra good these past few months, and we didn't knock off one ornament or destroy one decoration, although Grey did eat the noses off Mommy's stocking and this little Christmas dog. But she said she can glue it back on, whatever that means.

So with all that said, the last thing I want to do is tell you my Christmas wish list. I would like:

A really big rawhide bone
Some kind of chew toy
Maybe a stuffed animal
A big bag of dog food for the rescue group I came from
A warm place for all the scared, cold, homeless animals

Hamster, my obsession

Mommy and Daddy have had this hamster for years. I don't know how its still alive, but it is. Anyway, I love this thing. Mommy and Daddy joke that I breathe life into the hamster everytime I stick my head in the cage to watch him. As of right now, I've been lying down next to this cage for 3 hours. I don't know what it is about this little guy, but he's so entertaining. I don't even like the guinea pigs as much as I like him. Hopefully he'll stay around for many more years.

Ready to eat

There's many things I love in this world, but food kinda tops all of them. Sure, I love my mommy and daddy, but I'm hungry, damnit. I keep staring at Mommy from across the room, but she doesn't seem to get the message. Maybe if I spill her drink on the desk again, she'll realize just how hungry I am.

Such a sleepy day

Mommy and I slept together all night until Daddy kicked me out of the bed. He made this pathetic excuse for a bed on the floor for me, but deep down, I know that it was just a fluffy blanket. He thinks he can fool me, but I know better. I like sleeping with Mommy more than he does, and tonight, I'm kicking HIM out!

So I'm not that great at updating

Doesn't matter, really. Not much has happened since the last time I wrote. Same old thing...sleep, walk around, chew on something, sleep, bark once or twice, sleep, eat, sleep, bark again, sleep...the usual routine. In fact, I'm missing my nap right now. Goodnite.

Last night at Maw Maw's for a while

Mommy had this brilliant idea to leave at 4 am Friday morning and drive back to the old house to visit Maw Maw and Paw Paw. Daddy had to stay home so he could work, and since Maw isn't a fan of cats, Charlie couldn't come. So Daddy packed up the Jeep, and Grey and I hopped in. We were happy to take a car ride, although Grey is always so excited about the car that he keeps repeating my name and saying how fun it is to ride in the car. Idiot. Anyway, Mommy was really homesick, and she's been really sad because life's been hard for her lately so she needed the ride home to clear her head. She seemed to get happier while she hung out with Mallory's dad...you know, the big guy who pulls out his hair. But now that we have to leave tomorrow morning, I can tell that she's sad again, and it makes me sad. But at least we'll be able to see Daddy and Charlie soon! I can't wait to run in my own yard and sleep in my own bed again. It'll be so nice to see Daddy because I miss him and can't wait to hit his arm while he's eating so his food falls off his fork. Unfortunately, I'll have to put up with another car ride with Grey, but it's only four hours. I can manage another one. So tomorrow morning, we'll be saying goodbye to Maw Maw and Paw Paw and heading home again to Daddy.
