A day in my life

Everyday......

Hi It's me Samantha....It's been awhile since I have posted a new diary. As some of you know I am blind now. My mom thinks I may be able to see shadows but thats about all.They have to be easy when they reach for me so it doesn't scare me.
When I get up in the mornings I really have a hard time standing & walking.My mom will massage my hips & legs & soon I will be able to walk a little.I also take a pill for my joints & muscles. Most of the time the pill helps really good but there are days where I just don't feel good at all & just lay around. I get tons of TLC. I even sleep in between mom & dad every night so they can keep an eye on me.
Some nights are bad & I keep them up alot but they don't care, they just keep on loving me more.
Sometimes the pills I take will make me perky like a little puppy again. They love to see that.Mom calls me her little thoroughbred when I do that. She says I act just like a horse running around.
Ya know I am 17 years old now so I think I have done pretty well for an older Schnauzer.My sister is just 12 so sometimes she will get caught laying her head on me or snuggleing close to me. I know she loves me & that is her way of taking care of me. She used to try & hide it a little but not so much anymore.
I got a buddy this morning. From the group Pets with Dissabilities. I am really excited about that. I hope Levi & I can help each other out, if nothing else just become good friends. You can never have too many good friends.
Well I think I am going to go p-mail my new buddy & see how he is doing.I will write more about how I am doing later..........Samantha Lynn The Nana Of The Schnauzers....
