I had a seizure today!

My mom took me to the vet because I had a seizure. The Dr. took some of my blood & said that my blood sugar level was really low (40). I am scared because I met up with my long lost, biological sister/litter mate Maggie at the vet's last week and she was having gran mal seizures. I don't want to end up like her, that was very scary to watch.

Buried in Snow

This winter has been really rough. In December we got a record breaking 61.5 inches of snow. Mom normally lets us out of our schnauzer paddock and lets us run around in the BIG yard but now we can't. See my latest photo and you will see that we can't even get out of our gate.

I'm Diabetic!

I haven't been feeling like myself lately. My Dad took me to the vet & we found out I am diabetic. I have to have insulin shots twice a day. The vet also thinks that I may have cushings disease. They are running more tests to be sure. I have to go back to the vet soon for an all day blood glucose level check. I sure do hope that this helps me get back to feeling more like "me".

I went to an Off- Leash Dog Park for the 1st time EVER

Mom & I went to a new off leash dog park that just opened up a couple of weekends ago. We left the boys at home and had a girls day out. If was FUN! Mom said I was a GOOD GIRL!! A little pug puppy tried to bother me by biting at my backend but I put him in his place with a growl. I got scared by some really, really big dogs. They were very aggressive sniffers and ganged up on me all at once so I went to Mom and bounced up and down at her leg until she picked me up. I'm not sure if I want to go again. I like just having Mom & me time though...

I helped Mom pick berries today

Mom was picking berries off of her black raspberry bush today & I got to Help! I LOVE raspberries. I totally cleaned off all of the lower branches - yummy. I also begged mom for more berries but she kept putting them in a stupid bucket instead. I cleaned up all the ones that she missed though and by the end of the day my beard was all blueish/purple with berry stains. I didn't care any but Mom seemed to... oh well, all in the day's work for us berry pickers.

I killed a butterfly and a bird today

My mom got a "butterfly garden" for her birthday. She has been watching these stupid worms in a cup for weeks. I don't know why they are so fascinating - oh boy they finally made cocoons - BIG DEAL! I can do really neat stuff too. The cocoons broke open today and now there are butterflies flapping around, now that is exciting!! Mom took her butterflies out to the garden to let them go. Four flew up high and away but one fluttered down low... I snatched it up so fast! Mom yelled at me & pried open my mouth. The butterfly is still alive but it's antenna are crumpled up, maybe I can try again later when mom's not around. Wow now there's a lot of commotion behind mom - Skipper just caught a BIRD!! Now mom is yelling at him to "Leave it" and the bird is sqwaking up a storm. Skipper did finally give up the bird, it's teetering around the patio peeping mom's looking to put her butterfly net over it so now's my chance. Ha! I swooped in a took the bird before mom could get it! Boy she is MAD! She's chasing me across the yard but I'm very fast! I finished the bird in about 3 bites - just before mom got to me. Hee Hee I took the bird right out from under the 2 boys (Harley & Skipper) and mom too. I still don't know why mom is sooo MAD at me.
