Quick Bio:
-purebred-pound dog

Birthday:
August 13th 2005

Likes:
Car rides, Merry Springs Dog Park, his Kong with a cow tail and cheese stuffed in it! and now peanut butter :) he didn't like PB when we first got him, I'm glad he does now though cause the Kong is excellent!

Pet-Peeves:
The rain! And water, considering he's a hurricane Katrina survivor and all!

Favorite Toy:
ANY kind of ball!!! And frizbee!

Favorite Food:
He's on a Wellness food diet, he likes it.

Favorite Walk:
He loves Merry Springs dog park, Mt. Battie (when we go!), the neighborhood...

Best Tricks:
We can put a piece of food on his nose and he will wait for our command, then catch it in his mouth ;-) Findlay is clever, he can also open his gate with his nose! :)

Arrival Story:
We went to the Humane Society to have a look at a beagle there, as we just lost ours 4 months prior :( She was very excitable and not good with small children and we have a 2 yo...so they recommended this new collie that they've had for only 2 weeks...This wee boy came all the way from Louisiana as a Hurricane Katrina survivor! He had to have been born just before the storm hit as he was 11 months old at the time we first saw him. As soon as they brought him out we knew he'd be ours... He showed so much interest in us and the baby, so very gentle. We took him home for a slumber party and then adopted him the very next day :)

Bio:
Finz and I have been through a lot together...we've had many trial and errors and he has taught me SO much about myself and how to be a GOOD dog owner... I am leader now and he is a great dog! I almost gave him up a couple of times with being so discouraged, but to be a good dog owner you have to train yourself as well as your dog! I have a bond with my dog now that I never thought I could with an animal. I'm now looking into getting rescuing another sable and white, rough collie female, so he will have a doggie playmate.
