So today is the big day. I'm the big ONE! Seems like only yesterday I was romping around with my litter mates while mom sweated out hearing whether or not I'd get to come live with her. Silly mommy. My grandma Trish (MY mommy's mommy) had us over to dinner last night and to help mom out with her apparent inability to groom me properly (in case you ever wonder, if they are stripping your coat properly you WILL NOT have bald spots on your butt). I got to bark at my 4-legged mom and my 4-legged uncle (he is SO cool) and get jealous of one of my half brothers (how could mom hold him and cuddle him when it was MY birthday celebration!!!!). She didn't trade me in though. That is a good sign. Looking back on our first year together I've given her a couple good reasons to think about it (I'd say eating her glasses and iPod earbuds were probably close calls for me!), but I think we've settled in quite nicely together. I think I'll keep her.
We are off to the store so I can pick out a birthday treat. Apparently birthday cake is going to have to wait until Easter when I celebrate the big day with my family!
