When I woke up this morning, mommy told me I was the Dogster Dog of the Day!!!! What???? Me???? I had to rub my paw over my eyes and make sure I was awake and not dreaming….did I hear correctly…..dog of the day???? “Yes, pretty girl,” she repeated!!!! Wow!!!!! I have been on Dogster many years now and have had the great honor of being a Diary Pick of the Day, the Dog of the Month in the groups, Canadian Golden Retrievers Who Want To Be Friends With Other Goldens and Hanging With The Big Dogs….but Dogster Dog of the Day is the icing on the cake!

Thank you for this wonderful honor….sure did make me smile. I know mommy is smiling too, as she says it means so much given my age, but more importantly because of the incredibly special heart I have and share with others….Gosh, I feel like the lucky one….as Dogster/Catster has become part of my family…I have made such incredible and loyal friends and could ask for nothing more….my life has been made complete with being rescued, loved and surrounded by pawsome friends. My heart overflows with happiness and sunshine each moment of every day. I even have a wonderful boyfriend to share my heart with….wow, love you Boss!

Thank you again….for picking me….as Dog of the Day!!! To be honest, I feel like the special dog of the day every day because my life is so full of happiness and love.
We really appreciate the rosies, stars and gifts already coming in!!! Please know mommy may not be able to type a personal thank you to each of you, as she is still on limited pc use due to her flare of medical issues.

Put your paw over your heart…I am there and remember what I always say, OUR HEARTS ARE CONNECTED BY PAWS!!

Hello special friends,

Thank you for understanding that my mommy has not been able to type for a while due to her recent accident and subsequent health issues. Knowing each of you care and are continually sending the healing power of the paw for us all......means more than words can say. We are grateful for each of you.

The rosies, gifts, encouraging caring pmails, cards emails, phone calls....the beautiful healing green scarf from Hazel Lucy....wow, we feel honored and loved.

Thank you doesn't seem to be enough, but it comes from our hearts.

I am on another round of antibiotics for that nasty cough.....phew!!! It seems this will be a regular thing for me now....my tumor is still growing slowly back....but I am doing great. Happy, smiling and loving life.

My fur kitty brother, CK, has had a rough month or so....his IBD has really been stirred up. I guess as you age, it gets harder to control....you know, he is 20 plus....so....it takes more for him to bounce back. He feels the love and healing wishes and absorbs them into his heart.....he is doing better now and has more good days than bad and that is all that matters.

He had one of his fear based episodes and bite the heck out of mommy's hand....mommy was talking to Hazel's Lucy's mommy on the phone today when it happened.....he doesn't mean too....he just does. Hazel Lucy and her mommy were so supportive.

Well, better go...............remember to put your paw over your heart....we are there.

“Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.”

– Sarah Ban Breathnach (Author of Simple Abundance)'

To all those who face obstacles, challenges and difficult times, we are sending the power of the paw and wishing you the strength to endure the challenges you face.

To all those we have departed to the Bridge, we honor you....for your love and sparkling spirits light our skies with glowing sunshine and love.

Wow!!! I could not have asked for a better Birthday/Got'cha Day!!! I was showered with love, gifts, roseis, pmails, pictures, power of the paw, and so much more. All of you went above and beyond to make me feel extra special....and for that, I am grateful.

All of my Catster/Dogster friends never cease to amaze me with their hearts and love....Thank you for understanding that we don't get to thank each of you personally for the gifts and rosies. Mommy does the best she can on the pc, but with injections in a few hours, it will not be possible.

We love you all and thank you from the bottom of our heart for being the best Birthday/Got'cha Day gifts ever!! I could ask or want for nothing more!

Ouu hearts are connceted by paws.

We are so blessed to know each of you. We thank you for your love, friendship, prayers and support. Your lives touched our lives in a special and memorable way....and because of you, we have grown and learned...and our hearts are filled with joy.

We wish you peace, love, and joy this Christmas and wish you a Happy-Healthy New Year. Appreciate the small things and remember to be aware of what you have....just look in front of you...It's there. Bless You All. Here is one of our Favorite Holiday songs...gives us a lot to think about:

"DON'T SAVE IT ALL FOR CHRISTMAS DAY...

Don't get so busy that you miss
Giving just a little kiss
To the ones you love...

Don't even wait a while
To give them just a little smile
A little is enough....

How many people are crying
People are dying
How many people are asking for love...

So Don't save it all for Christmas Day
Find a way to give a little love everyday
Don't save it all for Christmas Day
Find your way
Cause holidays have come and gone
But love lives on
If you give on
Love....

How could you wait another minute
A hug is warmer when you're in it
And Baby that's a fact
And saying 'I love you's' always better
Seasons, reasons, they don't matter
So don't hold back
How many people in this world
So needful in this world
How many people are praying for love...

So Don't Save it all for Christmas Day
Find a way to give a little every day...."

~Song author uknown, sung by Celine Dion

Thank you for giving so generously to us...and may your hearts continue to grow and be filled with love and appreciation.

We are better for knowing each of you. Our hearts are connected by paws.

Merry Christmas,

Sissy and family

Hello Friends...

I went to the vet today. Wow, I must admit, I am getting to be a regular and I hope that ends soon!! I think mommy is ready for that to happen too.

Well................the vet feels the tumor is beginning to grow back. He feels everything is okay for now. He told us not to worry and we will deal with it, if and when we need too. It is not a cancerous tumor, just a very aggressive benign tumor. Unfortunately, it is in a very bad location, and will one day start to cause problems again. We were so hoping mommy was wrong, but she wasn't. We are doing our best to not worry, but it is a little disheartening. The only reason I ever had the surgery to begin with was because the tumor was so invasive and aggressive. The vet says...NO MORE SURGERIES FOR ME!

I did get put back on another 30 days of antibiotics for the tracheal bronchitis and pneumonia....still can't shake it, even with this big golden tail of mine. Usually, my fluffy golden tail can shake and knock every thing out and down, but not this. The vet got that frown on his face....and said, let’s try again. So I have more antibiotics and the cough medicine.

I have gotten so many positive thoughts, prayers, power of the paw, and beautiful Christmas Cards. WE can never express our gratitude and appreciation to you all. Today, of all days, I received a beautiful original doggie quilt made just for me from a precious kitty named Pepper. You have no idea how amazing that made my doggy heart feel....really touched mommies too. Thank you so much Pepper....wow, there are no words!

Once again, I feel I can’t say it enough….I appreciate the support and love...your caring means more than I can express in words....I am one lucky gal.

Our hearts are connected by paws...always and forever,

Sissy

Keeping you updated...thanks for the power of the paw!

Good morning friends!

Looks like I won't be going to the vet today. He is still out with the flu and under the circumstances, mommy wants to wait for him as he knows me so well and performed my surgery.

I will hopefully see him on Friday afternoon or Saturday to be re-checked for this nagging cough and the new lump. I do have great cough medicine, if needed.

I appreciate you all so much. Keep that positive energy coming. The power of the paw is amazing!

Thank you and keep those good healing thoughts coming.....

Thank you so much for all the power of the paw, rosies, healing messages, support and love. All of you are pawsome.

We don't know for absolutely positively sure, the tumor is growing back...but does appear to be. My vet is out of town for several days; however, there is a squishy lump which feels encapsulated right next to my surgery site. It appears to be about 2x2 right now. It feels just like the other one.

The other tumor grew so big before...(of course, we were all unaware and shocked when the vet did surgery) this feels like the other one on a much smaller scale. The vet said the tumor was so large (the size of a human head) he had to remove in pieces and did the very best he could; however, there was always a slight risk, it could return. Our whole family has been using this vet for about 25 years and we truly trust him.

Mommy is definitely good at knowing what is going on with me....when she felt it for the first time, she told herself it was scar tissue.....but, it does not appear that way. Last night Granny and Papa checked it too....and frowned......

Just keep those good thoughts coming and I will probably get checked on Tuesday when the vet returns.

Thanks again. Our hearts are connected by paws!!

Love, Sissy
