Likes: Soccer, fishing, ice cream, the beach, running after herons, her friends
Pet-Peeves: Bath time and not getting enough attention!
Favorite Toy: Football, empty mineral water bottle
Favorite Food: Ice cream
Favorite Walk: The beach
Best Tricks: Bouncing a football off the top of her head
Arrival Story: I think the best thing to say is that she chose me. Lala came at a decisive point in my life (being forty), and teaches me to celebrate life just by her sheer joy of waking up and greeting the world.
Bio: We live 100 meters from the beach, so that makes her a perfect beach bum; in Lab terms that also means contributing to a clean environment by eating everything on the beach. Soccer is her thing, and she has a mean "keepie uppie" ability.
She has some really good friends: Oscar, Maple and Bianca and she once alerted me to a puppy locked in a car boot. I hope we'll be able to get her a companion sometime soon. She has a heart of gold.

This afternoon we went to the clinic for a routine check for Troy, and we found out that the vets had put up a memorial corner for Lalla with the beautiful ornament you sent us. We are so grateful that across these wide, blue oceans we have you, and in our hearts for all times. We've put a picture of the wall on Lalla's page for you to see.
A few months ago, one of my best friends, Oskar, an American Pit Bull/Staffordshire Terrier was given away to a new home. Oskar and I spent our entire puppyhood and growing years together; we would hang on the beach nearly every day, spend weekends together, and mostly, we enjoyed long walks with each other. Our own special downtime was meeting for a football match every Saturday afternoon at the local school. But it’s the walks I miss the most: after I had my rear right leg amputated, Oskar and I got together for our treks, but the walks took on a different meaning: where once people had been afraid of Oskar - who is the gentlest and cleverest dog imaginable – they were now afraid of me; some people even walked to the other side of the street because they thought I would give ‘em a disease or something. I quickly began to understand what Oskar had gone through all his life – ignorance is our own worst enemy – and I held my tail high and walked even closer to my best friend as we went on our (very missed) walks together. But then Oskar left the neighborhood, and we miss him terribly. So even though Daddy is far away, I would love him to be my new valentine, as he and I together can teach everyone that dogs of all breeds and mixes, all shapes and sizes, disabled are always man’s best friend. So Happy Valentines to all Dogsters and their humans!

Actually this may mean the dosage will be cut down...heehhehehehehe
