We have had a very busy week. First on Sat May 27th we went to Books and Barks in a city park and had alot of fun there. I got to try out Flyball!! That would be really fun!! I love to get balls and jump!! Then next we got to play frisbee, and I love Frisbee!! We also got to watch a dog and their person do Freestyle, I would love to do that too!! We also got to see dogs doing agility, I could have done that (but I don't quite understand the weave poles or teeter yet). There were tons of dogs there and we brought Caspian too. Caspian got to try agility, and walk around with our human. We had alot of fun until Caspian got out of his crate while we were playing Frisbee and took off trying to find us. We had to go look for a few hours before we finaly found him!! But, even that was alot of fun. I got to spend more time alone with my human, and I got to go on a few car rides (even though they were slow rides). Anyway, we finaly found him and went home. You can read more about his side in his diary.
Then last Sat (June 3rd) we got to go to an agility Fun Match!! My mom said that all the money that got would go to Tassie's Hope Animal Rescue. That was alot of fun!! I did a course with jumps, a dogwalk, and a tunnel. That was alot of fun, I love to run!!! We also had Carma, Sassy, and Caspian with us then.
My former owners brought me to a very high kill shelter early in the morning and tied me to the front door because I was just to hyper for them to handle, and they didn't want to pay the drop off fee. Then after about a week, three people came into the shelter looking at dogs. They looked at all of the dogs including me and a little Lhasa a few cages down from me. They took both of us out then decided to adopt the Lhasa. I was sooo upset!! Most dogs are "gassed" at this shelter after they have been there for only one week, and I had been there about that long!!! Then the next morning the same people came back! They said that they wanted to see me again. When they took me out I was trying to be very good and show them how much I wanted to come home with them. I ended up going home with them. Then I found out that these people go to shelters and take dogs that would be put to sleep otherwise, then they find new homes for them after the dogs are healthy. Well one of these girls fell in love with me and I became friends with her other dogs; Oreo, Carma, & Blaze. So she ended up adopting me and doing alot of obedience training with me to help me calm down and give me a job. Now I'm doing great. I know how to calm down when I'm told to and I get to do agility with my mom!! I also get to play with all the other dogs who live here and pass threw here on their way to their forever home. I also found out that one of the other people who came to look at me had fallen in love with the Lhasa and adopted him. His name is now Benji!!
