Today was a bad day for me. Celeste and I were outside with Daddy. Daddy was on the porch shucking corn. Daddy saw a squirrel out by the garden and told me to get it!
Well being the good boy that I am, I tried to do what I thought Daddy wanted me to do. I saw a squirrel, a little closer than the one in the garden. I ran as fast I could and I can run FAST. I caught that squirrel. He bit me on my nose a couple of times. The war was on! Celeste was right there to help me. I think she saved my life.
She took that squirrel to Daddy. He took it away from her and was frantic when he saw my nose. He said he didn't mean for me to catch the squirrel. My nose was bleeding like crazy. He doctored my nose and got the bleeding to stop. He sat down on the couch and let me lay my head on him for a while.

Zoomer, you are the best behaved least demanding dog I have ever loved in my life. You ask me for very little. You mind me to the best of your ability. You do whatever is asked of you without a whimper.
When every other dog is bouncing all over the place, begging for attention, you only lie there looking at me with those soulful eyes, waiting patiently like the good pup you are. You're always ready with you happy waggy tail, when anyone needs a pal. You try to protect your family when it is threatened.
Zoomie, Daddy and I both love you very much. We wish we could read your mind. We'd love to make your dreams come true. We always ponder what you might be thinking when we sing to you ZOOM, ZOOM, ZOOM and you wag your tail like it makes you happy. This is a special Tail of Devotion

Well, I know I'm supposed to be this tough jock kind of a guy, but man--that loud noise and all those flashing lights!! How can any dog keep from crying at mom and dad's bedroom door. My sister and I almost have a nervous break down when it storms. Those westies must be stupid or something, they just seem to ignore it.
Last night was one of those nights! We scratched at the door and cried. I think Mom and Dad are getting deaf, they don't seem to hear us as quick as they used to hear us. I think we cried for half an hour before they let us get in bed with them. Of course, the westies have to come join us. It's pretty crowded in there these days. I think Mom and Dad are going to have to get a bigger bed! Five dogs and two adult humans in a queen- sized bed is pretty snuggly if you know what I mean.

Hello, all you doggies and dog people,
I am a large brindle whippet. I have lived in Arkansas all my life. I was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, but I live about 2 hours north of there now. I was supposed to be a Father's Day gift for my Dad, but my mom likes me just as much.
My mom think's I am the most handsome whippet in the world. Moms are great aren't they. Dad plays my favorite game with me all the time, which is "Catch the 4o+ lb. whippet when he jumps". Mom doesn't like the game much. She says it hurts her.
I love people very much, but I am not as needy as my sister -- or at least not as demanding. I do appreciate good lovin' anytime. I just love being around my people . I like to meet new people, too. Sometimes I am a little cautious at first. I like to get to know you for a few minutes before you scratch my tummy or rub my head. I love riding in the truck. I don't hang my head out like other dogs though. I like to sit up like a human until I get tired and then I just lay down in the seat. It's relaxing to me.
