Wow!
2008 is over and the new year has begun! This year for me was very,very stressful! Our lives were turned upside down when our house was burned down by the Humboldt fire. I thought my tail would never wag again! It is now January and (thankfully) we have been able to rebuild our home and our lives (to some degree). It is not complete but we now are in the dangerous stage of painting the new house. I have been moved to a new rental house on the other side of town and am currently rebuilding my confidence. I will speak of my details of the fire in a later journal.
My dear friend, Sneakers disappeared in March and we all miss him deeply. he was a sweet and very outgoing cat and my mom especially grieves for him every day. She clings onto the idea that he is still alive. We can only pray and hope that he will return to us. We must not give up hope and believe that he was caught by coyote or perished in a fight.
A new family member was added in the midst of all this, Millie Vanillie our sweetheart part quarter horse part arabian was a wonderful and welcome addition to our pack. Grandma takes me out riding with her. I get to run ahead and sniff, pee and do my normal doggie activities while she and Millie clop along.
For my new years resolutions I plan to...
1. Get out more
2. Mark my territory twice as fast as before/sniff more vigorously.
3. Try.....TRY not to pee on my toys (Mom has been very persistent in breaking me of this habit.
4. Socialize more... I have been getting a little "nippy" says Mom (whatever!)
5. PLAY ON MY NEW AGILITY EQUIPMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom and I got a fire-engine -red tunnel, three jumps, a tire and a table for Christmas!
6. BE A DOG AND MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOOHOO!

Here's to a fun new year! I deserve to get out and play as never before! 2009 will be a year of celebration of everyday things and sights plus river rafting, backpacking and camping trips.
