I AM SO MAD AT MY MOTHER!!!!
Today she innocently brought out my leash and said in her sweetest voice, "Hey Sam, wanna go for a ride?" Well, I LOVE to go on car rides and I was READY to go. I lept into the van and took my seat and Mom got in and away we went. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, she turned on the air conditioner and it was FUN. BUT THEN, I noticed familiar territory; familiar in a not so good way. We were at the GROOMER. I couldn't figure out why. I mean, Mom has been brushing me almost every day and getting TONS of hair out of me. She keeps telling me she could stuff pillows with the amout of fur she gets out of me.

I knew we could not be at the groomer for me because of all the combing and brushing Mom has been doing so I wasn't worried when we got out of the car. I peed on the bushes like I always do and then pranced inside the door. Mom was surprised I went in so easy, but like I said, I wasn't worried. BUT THEN, here came the groomer lady and SHE TOOK MY LEASH FROM MOM!! She said, "Sammy, come on back." I turned and looked at Mom with my biggest, saddest puppy eyes, begging her not to leave me, but she just petted my head, gave me a kiss on the nose and said, "I'll see you later, Big Boy." and she left me there!!!!

I was given a bath and then the groomer lady shaved me. YES, SHAVED ME. I have no fur left. I am naked. I was humiliated in front of the groomer lady and in front of another Lab that was there so I growled at him just to let him know that he better not be making fun of me. Then Mom came to get me and when she saw me she said, "Awwwwwwwwwwwwww, Sammy, you look like a puppy. You are SO CUTE!!" and she kissed me and hugged me. I was mad at her so I shook real hard and little teeny tiny hairs flew all over Mom and made her sneeze. (Serves her right for taking me to the groomer without even asking me if I wanted to go.) She laughed at me and petted me and told the groomer lady what a wonderful job she did and how beautiful I look and how much she LOVES my "puppy look". Then they stood there discussing how cute I am when I am bald. I just wanted to go HOME.

Then when we finally got home the ultimate humiliation took place. Maddie did not recognize me and barked and growled at me for several minutes while my MOTHER stood there laughing. It was NOT funny!!!!

Next time, I swear to the heavens above that I will HIDE when Mom gets out the leash.
