"Get Off of It" (barked to the tune of "Get Over It" by the- Eagles

I'm looking at Dogster and what do I see
Dogs on the couch -- but NO, not me!!!
They wag their happy little tails at everybody else
Spend all my time feelin' sorry for myself
Accused of this, accused of that
The couch is so nice, and the floor is too flat.

Get off of it
Get off of it
I am barkin' and chargin' and pitchin' a fit
Get off of it
Get off of it.

I haven't been the same since my humans turned grouch
But I might feel better if I laid on the couch
The more I think about it, Ole Yeller was right
Let's chew up the sofa, let's chew it tonight
I don't want to work, I want to live like a queen
But mom and dad won't let me lie on the thing.

Get off of it
Get off of it
If you don't listen, then I might as well split
Get off of it
Get off of it.

It's like going to the vet every time I hear you speak
You're threatenin' me that I won't get my treats
With some dogs that works, but I know you're weak.

You drag me around like a ball and chain
You walk me in the park; you walk me in the rain
You dress me like a human, you dress me like a clown
My esteem's in the gutter, bringin' everybody down
You complain about the shedding and my passing of gas
I'd like to find your inner child and sniff its little ass.

Get off of it
Get off of it
I am bitchin' and barkin' and pitchin' a fit
Get off of it
Get off of it.
