Today is the 5th anniversary of my journey to the bridge. Thank you to all my friends who remembered me today.
Does your Mom believe in signs? You know, when something special happens that can't be explained?
Well, today Mawmee and Daddy were going to run errands. They decided to stop at a Circle K first and get a drink. Daddy went inside while Mawmee waited in the car.
She glanced over and saw a windchime in the little tree that was next to the car. It had a note attached to it. She got out and went over to check it out.
It was a pretty windchime with a note that said You have found a Ben's Bell. Here is a picture of the note.
Well, Mawmee got very excited because she had just read about Ben's Bells in yesterday's newspaper!
When Daddy came out of the store, Mawmee told him all about finding the bell. He thought it was very cool. Here is Mawmee holding the bell and standing next to the tree where she found it.
You can read all about Ben's Bell Project on their website. Today is the 10th anniversary of little Ben's death. He was almost 3 years old. There is a Facebook page too.
Ben's Bell will remind Mawmee of the kindness of strangers, and it will also remind her about how precious life is and how sad that Ben's family only had him for a short time. Ben still lives on through this special project. Over 24,000 bells have been distributed since 2002.
Mawmee is honored to have found this special treasure on a special day!
Now whenever the little bell rings, your mommy will know that are 'visiting' her :)
I meant to say that she will know YOU are visiting her :)
What a special thing to happen to your Mom!! My moms eyes were leaking as she read about litte Ben. :) It reminds us all to " Wag more and Bark less " everyday because you never know how you can influence someone else!!!
Wagging more and barking less is pawsome advice, Margo!
That is pawsome and touching, too.
Glad you found one of those bells, and on this day, making it that much more spawsial!
Growlmy has this feeling that she needs to get on the phone with family members that live far away, whenevfur she hears one of two particular pieces of music, that started a long time ago, when her own Mom was sick...she calls them her signals!
It was nice that you were able to 'reach out and touch' your Mawmee today, Autumn!
That made me cry ! That is SO so beautiful ! I have wind chimes here.. lots of them and growing in number.. they are a line to a deeply subconcious joy that rings even on sad bad days.
SO glad you found this.. Autumn hasnt left you.. nor my Cleo left me.. they just have to remind us of that sometimes...
All I can say r, "Wow". Fings weally DU habben fur a weason ♥
Awww, that is all so special. Not only do so many of us now know about Ben's story, but the bell was found on such a precious day too.
