Arrival Story: I looked online for puppies at shelters in the area. I printed out about five that I was interested in. My boyfriend and I went to see one puppy, who was cute but a little too crazy for us (she was a lab puppy who didn't have much socialization or manners yet). Then we went to another shelter, and we met Fudge there. We fell in love with her immediately. She was so calm and sweet (hence the name Fudge!). We knew we were going to take her soon after we played with her.
Bio: Fudge is the best puppy we could ever ask for. She's really well-behaved and loves every person and dog she meets. She has her oddities of course (she's extremely submissive and often nervous), but she's the sweetest puppy you will ever meet!
Check out my raw feeding website to learn about Fudge's diet and how you can feed your dog raw!

Yesterday Mommy talked to a nice vet on the phone for a while. Apparently she's starting something called "homeopathic treatment" for me. She says that she hopes it'll help me be more confident and also fix my potty problems (I only like to go potty in our backyard--nowhere else!).
As part of this, Mommy has to keep lots of notes about how I'm behaving, so once I get my remedy dose, she can figure out exactly how things are changing. She's also been walking me around the neighborhood for 10-15 minutes on-leash when it's potty time so that she has a baseline for how I act, and we'll know if the remedy helps me potty.
So Mommy is going to write down how I act on our walks and any weird stuff that I do at other times. Apparently the vet said that we should take note of whenever my tail is between my legs, since this is a good indication of my state of mind, and we can use that as a measure of how well the remedy is working (i.e. is my tail between my legs more/less often after the remedy?). It should be interesting!
I'll try to keep all of you pups updated on my progress!
Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy brought me outside with them while they cleaned the rats' cage. And then I saw it: Daddy brought out the evil water demon!
It's this long green snake-like thing, and it sprays water everywhere! The water demon kept trying to attack me, so I attacked back! I tried to snap it up in my mouth, but it evaded me. It moved a lot too, and even attacked me a few times. Eventually, when it wouldn't back down, I barked and lunged at it a lot. Mommy and Daddy were laughing at me, but I didn't care! It had to be destroyed!
Finally, I defeated it! It stopped attacking, and I stood there, panting and dripping wet. I was so proud of myself, and Mommy and Daddy were proud of me too! I had to be dried off, but it was worth it!
Today, my tail has been acting weird. It's staying down instead of curling up over my body like it usually does. It doesn't seem to hurt when Mommy and Daddy touch it. We're not sure what's wrong with it. I hope it feels better soon though. I love my tail!
I turned 8 months old yesterday! Mommy says I'm very well-behaved for an adolescent. I'm glad I make her proud. :)
This past weekend, Mommy went away for a few days. I missed her lots, but luckily Daddy was still here. He still gave me yummy food too! He also gave me my medicine...I was hoping he'd forget.
My weekend with Daddy was pretty uneventful, until we were playing with one of my balls. He threw it at me so I could catch it, and it hit my eye! I think he bruised it because it was hard to keep my eye fully open. He gave me lots of snuggles and said he was sorry. Luckily, by about 24 hours later my eye was back to normal. I forgive Daddy for giving me a black eye (even though the area around my eye is already black!). I still love you lots, Daddy!
I'm ALMOST done with my medicine. About another 10 days or so, says Mommy. Yay for being almost done with that yucky stuff!
Oh yeah, today I had pig brains for the first time! They were still partially frozen, and I loved them! So far the only thing Mommy has fed me that I wouldn't eat was smelt fish (they were icky!). Supposedly she's going to give me a salmon head soon. I hope that's not yucky like the smelt fish! Tomorrow though, I get my first pork hock. It's big! Mommy's going to take a video of me eating it. Mmm, I can't wait! I bet she won't let me eat all of it at once though. She doesn't want me to eat so much that I get runny poops. I don't care though; I love eating!
Well, it's time to go to bed now. Nighty everyone!
