Jersey Girl in Pennsylvania
worriedJune 23rd 2005 12:46 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Emma tortures me, she really does. Every evening she strolls out her back door like the most interesting thing to do in her yard is water the plants. She KNOWS I am sitting just inches away on the other side of the fence, but she ignores me. IGNORES me. I do everything I can to get her attention: my best play bow, a friendly woof, an invitation to race up and down the fence line, but it doesn't do any good. Maybe I should play hard to get? My human mom teases me about being in love, and says I am gender-confused (huh?). All I know is that I can't take my eyes off that beautiful yellow lab. Sooo...last weekend I did it. I jumped the fence. There was a lot of yelling, and my dad followed me right over the fence (only I was a lot more graceful), but I had time to throw myself on top of Emma, and for one, brief shining moment, I was in pitbull heaven. Then dad picked me up and dumped me back in my yard. Emma's mom was pretty mad. I guess it was worth it. I'll never forget those gentle brown eyes or that soft blonde hair. Someday I will find a way to get her to love me.
