Ready For Mommy To Get Home

Mommy has been so busy planning peep sis's wedding. She hasn't had much time to get us on dogster. Last thursday she flew to Denver AGAIN bol!!! Saturday night daddy helped me talk on the phone with mommy. They went to Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort to make final arrangements. I am still trying to think of a way to sneak to the wedding!!! Mommy said that they went horse back riding in the mountains and a very cute rat terrier went along with them. She said that it even jumped into the creek and swam across with them. Mommy says that her fav thing about Denver is seeing all of the dogs walking around with their people downtown, in the parks and everywhere. Mommy's plane leaves at 2 pm Colorado time and then she will have a 2 hour drive to home and me, oh yeah Marcie and Bella too.

p.s. My little teeth are already bad again and it has just been 6 months since they were cleaned. I have been having them cleaned every six months for a couple of years. Mommy felt another loose one. I am going to have them cleaned in the morning.

First OKC Meet Up!!!

Yesterday was the best day ever!!! Our special friend Abbie was having surgery in OKC. She lives in another state Texas. So, we had to jump on the opportunity to go and meet her. We got up at 5 am to get ready. We got to the surgery center first and then came Abbie's mommy. She held me and we took a picture together while we were waiting for Abbie to be dismissed from the hospital. Then a black SUV pulled up. It was Miss Molly!!! Her mommy recognized me!!! Molly is much smaller in person than she looks in her pictures. She has such a tiny sweet face. But oh man is she a go-getter!!! She wanted to play with every fluff!!! Then her came Sassy-Girl and Dallas. We didn't even know that they were coming. What a surprise. They are much bigger in person BOL!!! Sassy -Girl is really sweet and loved to see us. Dallas is the big protector and he kept his eyes on the men working in the distance to keep us safe!!! Then Abbie came out to meet us. She was so happy for just having a major surgery. Her leg was shaved and we could see her incision and it looked just perfect. She limped because she was holding that leg up in the air when she walked. Dogs are so smart. The dogtor probably told her not to put any weight on it for a while. Marcie didn't get to come this time. Gracie stayed home too. We had so much fun taking pictures and the mommy's loved visiting and talking about us. Molly brought us a present. It was so sweet of her. It was two pawsome toys hot pink purse and cell phone and treats!!!

Marcie Got In Big Trouble BOL!!!

It is very dark outside and we live out in the country in the middle of a big pasture. Mommy let us out to go potty just a while ago. Mommy turned her back for just one second. We have huge windows all along the back of the house so you can see every move we make. When she opened the door for us to go in, Marcie was missing! She turned every light on the house on and her and daddy ran around the house calling for her. She was no where to be found! Mommy got in the car and drove down the long drive way, turned and drove to the highway and then drove down the dirt road the other way. Still no Marcie! When she came back she drove around the front pasture. Then when she pulled back up to the house daddy was waving his hands so mommy drove right through the front yard. There is a very steep drop off right beside the yard. It goes down several feet to another pasture. Bella pointed daddy in the right direction and he could hear something rustling through the brush. Mommy made it down the drop off and found Marcie by listening for her. She wasn't barking or whining. Mommy crawled back up the drop off with Marcie and handed her to daddy. Had they not found her a coyote probably would have! Marcie doesn't have a scratch on her and wanted a treat when she got in the house~~~~~~~and she got it BOL!!! Mommy is not going to take her eyes off of us from now on!!!

Our friend Bella Paige from California is missing!!! We need help finding her!!!
She went missing Feb. 3rd at 8p.m. in the Orange/Tustin area of Orange County California.

Bella was wearing a pink collar with a gold heart tag.
She is not microchiped... she was scheduled to be this month.

She is gold and white with a white tail and four white paws.
She is aprox 10 lbs and has a black rubberband in her top knot.

GOOD NEWS!!!!

Mommy brought Leo home last night!!! We have a long driveway and he knew the minute they turned down it he was home. He started hollaring and then Babe started hollaring and they didn't quit until they were both back in the pasture together!!! His eye has just a small amount of swelling left and the vet gave us meds to give him for another week. Thank you to our all pals. We know that the power of paw prayer is pawsome!!!

Good News

Mommy was so happy when she was at the clinic visiting Leo this evening. Even more swelling is gone. The top eye lid is only swollen to the size of a golf ball now. The best news is that he can see out of that eye!!! When mommy got out of the car Leo started hollaring at her. The vet said that he can go home in the morning. He will be on antibiotics we can put in his food and some bute (pain meds) for a while. The vet didn't sound totally convinced that there is not a tumor there, but everything that mommy has read doesn't point to that now. We are excited we can bring him home, because on Friday it looked like we were going to have to send him to the bridge. Thank you so much to all of our pals for all of their thoughts and prayers!!! Your the best!!!

Prayers Are Working!!!

Mommy just got back from the clinic to see Leo. She is so happy because the swelling has gone down a wee bit more and she can see 1/2 inch of the eye now. She waved her hand in front of it and he did flinch a couple of times. He still has a face that only a mother could love though. She says she doesn't care if they have to remove the eye as long as he can come home and be happy. Your thought and prayers have helped more than you know!!! We love our dogster pals!!! Thank you to the sweet pup that gave us a star.

Leo

I have such great pals!!! Thank you for your prayers and rosettes!!! Mommy said Leo's eye and head is still swollen but it has gone down a wee bit and she can see about 1/4 inch of the actual eye. He is now moving the lids a tiny amount. The vet put another horse in the stall next to Leo so he has a buddy to keep him company. The vet is giving him two different antibiotics twice daily. Mommy read on a web site that if it is a tumor the swelling does not go away. So we will keep our fingers crossed that it does. He just has to get well 'cause Babe is very lonely and keeps looking for Leo in all of the trees and hollaring for him.

One more day

We have had a lots tears spilling at our house. Mommy came home to find our horse Leo very sick on Thursday evening. Two weeks ago he had some air pockets under the skin on his head. The vet just said to keep an eye on him. His right eye is now swollen larger than a baseball. The swelling appeared overnight. The vet is afraid that he has a tumor which would account for air leaking from the sinus cavity into the skin. He does not act like he is any pain. He is eating well and drinking. He is at the vet clinic getting antibiotic and meds for the swelling. The vet said that even if the swelling goes away he feels like to much damage has been done to the eye and he won't have sight in it. He is 15 years old and he was bought 6 years ago for my human sis for showing. Leo and our horse Babe (23 yr old) are inseparable. They are both sad right now. We are just waiting one more day or two to see if a miracle will happen.
