A Trip to Work with My Mommy

A few days ago, my mommy decided to take me into work. I think she wants to take me in a lot when I get older and so she wanted to see how I would do. I was very excited (maybe a little too excited) and eager to go with her. We got to Boston early and she took me for a nice long walk. It was a perfect way to start the morning. Then, we went into her office and I just couldn't contain my happiness and took a big poo in front of the reception desk! My mommy didn't seem happy, but I felt relieved. Then, people started showing up and I was so happy and jumping and barking at a certain pitch so that my bark collar wouldn't go off (I figured that one out). But then my mommy went into a meeting and I didn't want to be in the crate, so I scratched and cried and soft-barked until she came out and coddled me. She gave me things to chew on and I drank lots and lots of water. I love making a sloppy mess with water. Throughout the day we went outside many times. I knew my mommy wanted me to pee pee, but I knew that if I didn't, she would keep taking me for walks! When lunch came, my mommy tried to get me to go downstairs so she could eat with everyone, but I didn't want any part of that. She tried with treats, and promises, and kisses, and even some force, but there was no way I was going to go down those things. One of my mommy's friends came out and took my collar and tried to make me go down by my face, but that didn't work. I eventually got my way and didn't have to go down the stairs of death, but my mommy had to eat at her desk.

After lunch I relaxed a little bit and slept quitely in my crate and then I heard some commotion and knew it was time to go home! My mommy was getting me out of the crate and I heard a little poot, followed by some laughing, followed by some howling laughing. All I wanted was that treat in her hand, but there was so much noise. I'm not sure what happened after that, but my day in my mommy's office was very fun and eventful. I can't wait to go back again.

Oscar out.... *poot*

I woke up this morning at 5 AM because my Jenny got up and she let me lick her fingers, but she didn't take me out of my crate. I didn't care all that much. It was only when I heard the fan of the bathroom go on that I started to cry. Daddy was up! He's my favorite! He's my best buddy (that's what he tells me)!!! My Jenny let me out of my crate. I greeted her briefly before I ran to the bathroom to wait for daddy. I sat outside anticipating the moment he would open the door and play with me. I was so excited that my tail was wagging my body! He stuck his fingers under the door to let me know he was there and to tease me. I took my paw and smacked them and he finally opened the door. He said "hey Oscar!!!" then he went into his room to get his socks (I love socks!!!) and I ran in with him. I darted to the other side of the room to grab my favorite red slipper and proudly pranced past daddy with it. Jenny gave me food (yummm!) and daddy let me outside to do my business. Then Jenny squeezed me goodbye (I could barely breathe!!!!) and then my mommy came out and played with me for a while. I laid on the couch while she got ready for work, then when she was almost done I waited outside her bedroom door for her to come out and play with me some more. We went in the kitchen and I waited patiently for her to take me outside and run around around with me! I love the snow!!! Mommy took another picture of me. She and my Jenny are always taking pictures and movies of me! I feel like a movie star! I ran around for a while and Mommy picked up some missed poops from the yard. Then Mommy wanted me to come inside, but I knew that if I ignored her she would eventually get impatient and offer me peanut butter to come in! (I do that every day; she falls for it every time!) I get so excited about the peanut butter--it tastes so good! But I know that as soon as I finish the peanut butter on the spoon that Mommy is going to put me in my crate and leave for the day. I sleep and think about my people all the time when they're not around. After a while my walker came and took me to play with my friend Carson. I LOVE playing with other doggies! Then she brought me back and I waiting for my John to come home so I could lie on the couch with him and watch TV. Later, my Jenny and my mommy came home and they took me for a walk. My Jenny was talking about other dogs from her work and I got jealous. But I know she loves me the best. When we got home Mommy fed me and let me out for a bit, then when I came in my Jenny gave me a suite treat (a kong filled with peanut butter and treats and then frozen), and I took it in my crate so no one would bother me while I ravaged it. OHMIGOD!!!! I've never had anything so yummy in my life! Now we're all going to hang out and watch TV. I'll be nice and give Mommy and my Jenny kisses tonight, because they love them and don't get grossed out. I hope tomorrow is as good as today was!

Oscar out...
