Arrival Story:
Jewel was a very generous gift to us from my husband's boss. Knowing how much Dan loved Jazzie, she was concerned what would happen when it was time for Jaz to leave earth. She left it to us to find our new baby. One day Dan went alone to met a family. He called me after the visit, said we found the right family and told me to see if I felt the same and if I did, to bring our new baby home. When I got there, there were 4 pups, all female, and of course all very very cute. I had no idea which pup he wanted. I asked the breeder and she said "Your husband said you will know". WHAT????? So I'm sitting on the floor watching the puppies play, when I realized I'm only seeing three pups... the fourth one was behind me chewing on my purse! Well... I knew then who picked us. I took Jewel home and I can see the worried look in Dan's eyes. As soon as he saw her I knew she picked us both! Apparently she chewed up his shoe laces during his visit!

Bio:
In June of 2005, we found out Jewel has an infection in her brain. It is terminal. According to her doctors she should has passed away back in July 2005. She lost her battle with this terrible disease on May 18, 2006. The lessons this little four pound bundle of fur taught us is inmeasureable. She has single pawdedly taught us more about Love, Trust, Hope and Faith then we knew we ever could. She is to us an Angel sent from Heaven.
