Almost My Birfday

Tomorrow Daddy & I celebrate our birfdays.
I'll be FIVE!!!
Daddy is a multiple of 5 -- whatever dat means.

Mama made our birfday dinner last night and I got woast beef wif some gwavy. Boy oh boy it was soooo dewicious! I licked that bowl completely clean! I even shared some wif my lab a door
tree reever sister.

I not sure 'zactly what mama has planned for my birfday pawty but I know it will be fun. I bet I get lots of velvet ear rubs. Dat's my favowite thing!

Today mama made me a Birfday Collage. It has pictshures from when she very first laid eyes on me. She was SO surprised. And so happy that daddy & her girl fwiends gave me to her. (Interesting note: I was born ON DADDY'S BIRFDAY & Daddy gave me to mama as HER BIRFDAY pwesent in April. Guess I'm just a b
Birfday Basset!) And in my collage is a pictshure of me wif my big bruvver Scout, now gone to da Bridge. I love him! Dere's a pictshure of me licking my grandpa's head (BOL!) and I wuv da pictshure of me nappin' in da leaves. Dat is so relaxin' !!

A Rainy Day Bodes Well For Me

It's raining squirrels & robins. All day.

I'm in the house looking out.

Mama puts on her shoes.

OH NO SHE ISN'T!!!!

If she's going for a drive, so am I.
I run to where my harness & leash are and I do my cute basset dance that ALWAYS gets me what I want.

"Ok, Silly Scout. You can go too, but you'll have to stay in the car."

Yeah yeah yeah. WhatEVER. Just put the hardware on me and LET'S GO!

I get in the car. Hmmmm. The second row just doesn't feel right today. I climb into the front seat and sit properly. This is better. Except....
what in the WORLD? What [duck] are those[duck] black things[duck] going back and[duck]forth on the windshield???

"Scout? Are you afraid of the windshield wipers?"

Huh? Me, Scout Levi, The Wonder Basset afraid? Of course NOT!

So I rode & waited, rode and waited. Then I moved to the very back row of the van. A whole different view from back there! (and none of those black back & forthy things). Rode some more, waited some more.

Now I'm snug at home.

Today was a Rainy Day but it sure did bring me some fun!!
