Arrival Story:
I found Toby on the
Schnauzer Rescue Board in August 2001. He was rescued from a shelter
by an angel named Sara. She volunteers for an all breed rescue group in Maryland
and took him to her home rather than allow him to be dropped at the shelter. He
was going to stay with her; however, her 2 spaniels didn't really care for him
and since they were older in age, she decided to find the proper home for Toby.
The minute I read his story, I knew he was meant to be MY dog. I wrote Sara an
email from my heart and she called me and asked if I would be willing to come
see him. Mind you, she was in Maryland and I am in PA but that didn't stop me!
We were on the road within an hour! ! It was love at first site! :-) He didn't
even look like a schnauzer (see photo at left) at first. After spending 4 hours
with Sara and her family; Toby came home with us August 25, 2001 He has been
with us over 2 years and continues to thrive!
Bio:
We don't know anything about Toby's past other than according to the person who dropped him off at the shelter in July 2001, he was 17 months old at the time. That put his birthday in February 2000 so we celebrate his birthday on our wedding anniversary, February 21st!

3. I can jump from the ground onto the dining room table...even with the chairs pushed in. I can't reveal my secret but it's pretty amazing.
4. I will not let my mom watch me poop. If my mom is watching, I will turn around and not face her while I do it.
