Alright Pal! You made it here. I see you caught my foot ball pass. Here is what you should do next! Hurry and pass the ball to 5 of your team mates so they can make a touch down! You are also supposed to write down 5 things about yourself that are funny. Also please leave me a bone and ask all those who visit your diary to leave you a bone so you will know they have been there! Ok…Here goes the play!

1. I want to have my paw held in the car.
2. I have a soooo much better nose than Sadie. Mom calls it a needlenose.
3. You would not believe how I, although I love swimming and water in general, abhorr baths.
4. Living with a Rottweiler-Sister since I was a pup, I'm a great stunt-dog.
5. Balls, balls, balls and balls and more balls ... do I need to say more?

Being Love Tagged!

I was Love Tagged already two days ago by Sugar Danielle, my most beloved Precious' Michelle's sister ... and I now want to return the honour to this most wonderful, most beautiful girl, and of course her whole pack that is so very dear to me and mine: My beautiful Precious Michelle, her stunning sister Special Dawn and of course their wonderful parents. And to Sugar Danielle, the godmother of the pack.

Besides that, I'll start Love Tagging some of my good friends, may take some time on this lame computer and all that, but let's get started.

I Tag Gonzo, wo is running free at the Bridge now, and who was and will always be my best friend. Gonzo and his pack are just plain marvellous and the most loving and thoughtfull bunch of humans and animals you could think of. Gonzo my man, Sadie and I think of you a lot!

And I Tag Jackson the mighty Rottweiler, Sadie's and my friend since early days on Dogster and always there to hold my back and flatter my big sister, which makes her happy. I Tag him and his pack, and that includes his beautiful, charming sister Freckles, her of the Copter Ears and elegant dresses, and of course their loving Mom who is a special friend of all of us.

I Tag Iggy, who also went through knee operations around the same time as I, and his siblings and parents, and hope he's jumping and running around just as happy as I am, and the same goes for Homer, his sister Sophie and his parents, another dog who was operarted about the same time as Iggy and I were, and recovered wonderfully. Way to go, Iggy and Homer! Let's run and swim and be healthy again. Love you all!

Now I only get new Rosettes tomorrow, but the last one for today goes to a very special and much loved pack, that of Sadie's soul sister, the Bridge Angel Diamond Jazzy, matriarch and alpha female extraordinnaire, her "little" brother D-Day who followerd her to the Bridge because he loved her so much and is now looking out for all of us together with her and still giving us young uns his gentledoglike and debonnair advice, and their little sister Belle who had such a lousy start in life and is doing so exceedingly well now! Belle is already a beautiful young girl and a gifted Rottweiler doing so well at training, and another source of love to her human family. That family in turn adopted her and is giving their all! How much more love can there be? However much it is, Sadie, Mom and I are sending it to you guys!

My buddy Jake tagged me, so I will write the rules down;

I get to choose 7 of my pals to tag. Here are the rules I was given for the game: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a p-mail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

Here are 7 facts about me:

1) I love Precious Michelle, my most beautiful curly tailed Pittie girl!
2) Mom got me a nice set of stairs leading up to their new foam bed, so I can get on this high bed.
3) Tennis Balls are really serious stuff, I can't believe Sadie is so casual about them.
4) Hey, it's almost Summer, and Dad already took us to the river. Of course I had to swim!
5) Can't wait for those days of frozen Kongs and sitting with Mom in the shade watching the world go by.
6) I feel great and might chasing planes away!
7) So I'm a Momma's Boy, so what? I love my Dad, he's great fun, but she's my Mom.

I tag:
1.Precious
2.Gonzo
3.Homer
4.Fred Astaire
5.Samuel Jacob
6.Rio
7.Zoe D.
7.Sadie

Have fun!

When Mom works too much

I hate it when she does that. All day she's in that room in our house she calls her office, and only comes out for short times to cuddle me and Sadie. Mind you, it's not bad during the day, as Dad takes good care of us, takes us for walks, plays with us ... but when it's my bedtime I want Mom to be there. So I sneak into the office, but the armchair there is too small for me, and do I ever hate sleeping on the floor! Anyways, I bugged her and made grumpy noises and got on and off that ridiculously small armchair long enough that she finally got the point and made up some nice bed for me in the office.

Now I have four beds: the original doggie bed in front of the living room window, the bed that for some stupid reason Mom and Dad think it's theirs and which is actually MINE and Sadies, but we're nice enough to let them sleep there too, the one in the guest bedroom and one made from old comforters and a nice blanket in Mom's office.
Mom says I'm incredibly spoiled. But isn't that how it's supposed to be?

My new pal Sid

For a while now I've been hearing and seeing this other dog across the street, an new puppy, a brown Lab. Mom says he's called Sid and she thinks he's incredibly cute, but who could be more cute than I? Anyways, this morning on the big field - Mom took me alone, cause someone is building a house near there and using a nailgun, which frightens Sadie - I climbed up the bleachers near the sports field and what did I see? Sid and his mom. Mom of course didn't recognize them at that distance, because her eyes are lousy, but I knew at once who it was and started whiiiining ... so we went there, and Sid's Mom let him off the leash, and we had a blast! He is only 7 months old but almost my size, and he loves to play just as much as I do.
Mom said maybe Sid's mom will tell us when she goes to the big field again and we can go together and play again! I would so love that! I like playing with Sadie, but it's fun to be the big older dog once in a while.

My wonderful smelling neighbor

I had a great morning because we met the neighbors again. I miss them; during summer everybody is outside and in the gardens and Sadie and I ran back and forth between our house and our favorite neighbors deck, but since it got cold everybody just runs from the car to the house and can't get in fast enough.
One of the greatest things about my neighbor Ernie is his smell; he works as a meat cutter and I love to sniff all over him when he comes from work. Before they found out about my allergies he used to bring us huge bones.
So Sadie and I were in the field behind the house with Mom, and we saw Ernie and Alice and their grandkid going to their van, so we stopped by and said hello. Of course Sadie had to suck up as usual and give the kid a lot of kisses, and I did the guy thing and I checked out their new van. They haven't taken most of the seats out like Mom and Dad did in ours, but I guess they don't run a limo service for us spoiled dogs like Mum and Dad do. I wouldn't have minded to go for a ride anyways, and Mom, yeah, go ahead, take him for the day, but I know she didn't really mean it, she would so miss me if I wasn't around to bug her.

mice!

I found a mouse nest in the field behind the house today! Mom was distracted picking up Sadie's poop (always a great opportunity for me to get into mischief), so I could have a good look and a good sniff. The mice didn't seem to happy about it though, and so was Mum when she caught up with me. She was worried I get some disesase from the mice, but then I got all my shots and my flea stuff (yuk!). And no, I didn't eat any, I sortof picked one up but spat it out again; it felt funny to have this wiggly thing in my mouth. After my first year when I had some grashoppers too many I don't even eat bugs any more.
Later we went for a walk, and Sadie was in a goofy mood, so I got lots of exercise. Time for a nap.

Cold

Cold day today, but I loved seeing a little bit of snow early this morning when Mom let us out. Not enough snow to really hide the tennis balls in, but I did my best. Later Dad took us for a long walk, or say as long as he and Sadie could stand the cold. I don't mind, as long as I'm moving it's fine, but Sadie is a bit of a wuss, and Dad is only just over a nasty cold.
I do miss summer though. Went to the lake almost every day, some days even twice, when it was really hot. The vet said swimming is good for me, and I just loved it anyway. Since last summer, even Sadie likes the water. Mom saw something on TV about some cities opening their indoor pool once a month for dogs; I wish they would do it here too. No such things as doggie spas in rural Alberta!
But then there's always tennis balls. Mom couldn't throw a ball to save her life, so she's got some chuckit-thingie which works fine. Sometimes even Sadie plays, but only when Dad is around. She gets all silly and teases me when she gets the ball, we've played this a thousand times and still can't get enough. But at the end of the day, they're all *my* tennis balls, all 15 or so of them.
