Fetching and Swimming, preferaby the two at once!!
The younger dogs jumping all over and spazzing out.
I love my Katie's Bumper, the older kind though, not the new model, and soft bite frisbees.
I love steak, but mom doesn't let me have it except on special occasions. I love my regular Nutro's kibble too, and CHEESE!!!
I love ocean beaches the most, but I am also very happy going to Seattle's Magnussen off leash park and the U.W. Aboretum.
I can do a down stay for at least an hour, and I am pretty good at all the other standards, I was the top scoring dog in my obedience class. I aim to please (so long as I get some good scratches!!)
My former boyfriend and I were wanting a dog, but I was in school full time and he was a very busy sub-contractor in construction. We needed a dog that was not a puppy and that could go to work with my former boyfriend right away. A laborer on one of his job sites had Filo, and was going to be evicted from the trailor park that he lived in with his mother because Filo had killed one of the chickens roaming around. The guy asked if we wanted him and we said YES. We think that that was probably the best thing that ever happend to him. He was a really well behaved dog from day one, and with some training, his lab instinct to chase fowl went away entirely. He would now fetch his toy in the middle of a flock of ducks and he would ignore them completely.
Well, my mom and dad split up over six years ago. They loved me and my brother Monster so much though that they decided to share custody of the two of us and it has been working out very well since then. I am at mom's half the week and at dad's the other half. And I never have to go to a kennel when my folks go out of town, because I get to go to my other parents house!! My dad has since remarried and my mom is engaged so I have two moms and two dads!! I have pretty bad arthritis and hip dysplasia, and dad and mom gave me a new hip almost two years ago. I got so much better for a long time, but I am slowing down now due to the arthritis in my shoulders. My days of going mountain biking and back country snowshoeing with mom and dad are over because of my joints, but it seems like just yesterday that I was a spring chicken, and I stll enjoy all that life has to offer!
justice for MOOIE!!!

Well, as some of you know, the Black Seattle Pack and momma were in a car accident this week. Momma had just taken us all to the dog park for a special trip for Monster's birthday. She was driving us back home, was stopped in some bad traffic, and BAMMMM!!! A lady came up behind us and hit the gas instead of the break. The rest of the pack is fine, but I got hurt. I was in the way back of the volvo wagon, and I slammed into the back of the backseat really hard. Momma checked us out as soon as she could pull over and saw that I couldn't stand on my left front leg. As soon as momma got all the insurance info from the lady, she rushed me to the vet. He took x-rays, and couldn't see any breaks, and thinks I probably have a pulled tendon or ligament as well as severe bruising. For two days I couldn't walk on my leg. It is getting better now, and I think it is because of all the love and prayers I am getting from my Dogster pals.
Special thanks to miss Rosalita Lola "Rosie" for starting a get well thread for me in the Dogster Forums. I have received so much love, prayers and well wishes from so many wonderful pups. I told momma that she has to personally thank everydoggy that gave me a rosette, but it might take a couple weeks. She has to work this weekend and then she will be gone on vacation next week (without us, grrrrr, but the Black Pack will all be at my dad's house for a few days and he always does fun stuff with us). I can't tell you all how much your love has meant to me and to momma. She has been so worried about me putting extra weight on already very arthritic joints in my right leg. I will let you all know how I am doing, and again, thank you all so very much.
Love to you all,
