Birthday: May 8th 1998 Likes: Naps on the couch with sister Bella, trips to the dog park, fancy snacks, stuffed toy gorilla, seeing my brothers Monkey and Henry and Tater Tot Pet-Peeves: I hate when other dogs fight, I want to break it up right away, and don't let any puppies take away my favorite treat, and like most other pugs, I absolutely hate to have my nails trimmed. I hate getting my feet muddy and wet, I avoid puddles at all cost Favorite Toy: My stuffed gorilla "Chucky" and my stuffed ferret Favorite Food: I love liver treats, cheese, anything fancy really (I turn my pug nose up at plain old dog cookies, I am not a typical pug in that respect) Favorite Walk: Magnus0n Park off leash park, but I love walks on the sand at the ocean the most!! Best Tricks: When mom says "bang!!" I roll over and play dead, usually with much drama, like John Wayne! Arrival Story: My dad and mom picked me out of a whole litter of beautiful puggies from a breeder in Yakima, WA. When my parents were trying to choose, they picked me out cause I was so playfull with all my siblings, but not bossy. The breeder said, "oh, that's Little Monster" (he called me that cause I was so rambunctious). On the way home, mom and dad decided that "Monster" would be a great name for me. Well, people really remember me, my name is hard to forget. I have kind of a cult following in my hometown Seattle. Lots of times people know who I am but not my parents!! I am really lucky cause two of my brothers live near me and we have stayed in touch all these years (you can see my brother Monkey, he is one of my dogster friends). We have a great birthday party every year and all our dog and people friends come and play. Bio: Even though my name is Monster, I am like the kind of Monster one might see on Seasame Street. I am the sweetest, most loveable boy ever! When my mommy is sick or sad, I just curl up beside her and won't go anywhere else, not even out to potty, I will just wait till she feels better. My dad says I am a teenager cause I will sleep in (in mom and dads bed of course) as late as possible. My mom has to get me up and make me go outside to potty. I like to sleep with my head on the pillow, just like a human! I am the diplomat of dogs they say, as I get along with everyone. My dad sometimes says "why can't all dogs be like Monster?" , cause when the other dogs are getting in trouble, I am being a very good boy. I am mom's first puggy, and mom and I have an extra special connection that is hard to explain. Mom says I am a special little guy. Dad says I am something called "enlightened". Monster, my sweet Buddha pug, I don't even know where to start. You are the most amazing creature to ever enter my life. I knew it when you were 8 weeks old, and we picked you out of all the beautiful puppies at the breeders. We had been set on getting a female, as your brother Filo had a tendency to be a little "cranky" with other dogs. Alas, the breeder had no females. It was fate I am sure. You were the one I needed all along. Filo didn't think it was a hot idea to have you in the family at first, but now, he loves his little brother too. The two of you, Dr. Evil and Mini Me!!
Within the first week or two of your arrival to your home, I got really sick with a terrible sinus infection. I put you in a little box and you rode in the car with me to the doctor. You eventually crawled up behind my neck and were like a "pug shawl", hysterical! You have always stayed by my side when I am sick or sad. When I got food poisoning when we were at the cabin, you stayed in bed with me all night and day. You wouldn't have even got up to go to the potty if dad hadn't scooped you up and taken you outside.
When you were a pup, you would play with the biggest dogs at the park. Your best friends were a rottie and a dobie. You had no idea you were 8 lbs! As the years go by, you don't play as much, but every now and then, a dog will put that spark in your eye, and you will start the "crazy pug run". That always makes me smile.
We have shared so many wonderful times. The time we went to the ocean, Iron Springs, and you were so excited to be there, running figure 8's in the sand, then you ran straight into the stream (the springs). You had no idea it was there, cut into the sand. The look on your face I will never forget! I wrapped you up and kept you warm till we got back to the cabin. The next few days were filled with laughter and romps in the sand, spending all day walking up and down the beach. The times we have spent traveling, to Whistler, to Priest Lake, Wenatchee, have been so wonderful, but also are the times, quiet in the living room with a fire in the fireplace, watching a movie. You and your sister Bella are the best cuddlers in the world!
Your character is truly amazing. Your expressions can make me laugh out loud on even the darkest day. You are a clown, a Buddha, a diplomat, a charmer, a snuggler, a lover, my best friend.
